The Orlando Magic are still searching for their first win of the season and tonight they take on the New York Knicks in hopes of ending a 3-game slide. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm ET on NBA TV, and I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay which you can find below.

Make sure you also check our NBA Predictions on the spread and point total for each of Monday’s 8 games! But for now, let’s dive into this Magic vs Knicks matchup.

Paolo Banchero to score 25+ points (+400)

Evan Fournier over 2.5 made threes (-113)

Parlay odds: +775

Paolo Banchero to score 25+ points (+400)

Unlike the Utah Jazz, who are off to a 3-0 start to the season, the Orlando Magic are in full tank mode with 3 defeats in as many games. Although at first glance the scores might look close, none of those games were ever in doubt for the Celtics, Hawks and Pistons. Despite losing all of those, there is some reason to be optimistic for the future and that is in the form of rookie phenom Paolo Banchero.

Banchero has scored 20 points or more in all 3 games so far and against the Pistons on opening night he went for 27 points, 9 boards and 5 assists, becoming the first rookie since LeBron James in 2003 to post those types of numbers. It’s pretty clear that his team isn’t focused on winning all that much, but you can definitely count on Banchero getting his numbers as the Magic try to develop their young guns. His matchup tonight will be Evan Fournier, who isn’t really known as a lock-down defender. Banchero is way more athletic and I believe he will make the most out of that en route to another solid game of scoring.

Evan Fournier over 2.5 made threes (-113)

Fournier is going up against his former team here and he is known for being an erratic shooter, but I think on this occasion he might get more than his usual 5 attempts per game. Orlando is struggling to defend the three-ball, and through 3 games this season they rank only 25th in the NBA in opponent three-point percentage, allowing 39.7% of makes from distance. I am confident at least one of the Knicks’ back-court of Barrett, Brunson and Fournier will have a big scoring night here.

The Frenchman is coming off a 2-for-5 effort against the Pistons, while in the first game of the season against Memphis he knocked down 3 of 6 shots. This is a perfect game for him to maintain his 45% efficiency from long range in the young season. As a team, the Knicks shot 42.5% from beyond the arc in their last win over Detroit at home, I don’t think that approach will change tonight against one of the worst defenses in the league.
