After a fun and exciting 12 games on MLK Day yesterday, the NBA returns with 2 games on Tuesday and both of them are live on NBA TV. The action begins at 7:30pm ET at Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks host the Minnesota Timberwolves.

I’ve gone in-depth once again and came up with a same-game parlay which you can find below. After you’re done checking it out, be sure to also go through our predictions on the side and total for each of tonight’s matchups.

Let’s get into it!

Minnesota Timberwolves 1-10 win margin (+175)

Over 211.5 points (-110)

Anthony Edwards over 20.5 points (+100)

D’Angelo Russell 10+ assists (+330)

Parlay odds: +2901

Minnesota Timberwolves 1-10 win margin (+175)

When the Timberwolves and Knicks clash, games tend to be really close. Only 2 of the last 12 head-to-heads have been decided by more than 10 points, which is a really big sample size. In those games the Timberwolves have the edge, winning 5 of the last 7, plus if we look at their most recent games they are the more in-form team as well. They just beat the Warriors by 20 points, plus in their last 17 games they are 12-5 ATS.

On the road, Minnesota has covered in 13 of 21 games and as favorites they are 12-6 SU this season, which is also a good sign considering they enter tonight’s game as 1.5-point favorites. The Knicks have been hit or miss at home this season with a 11-12 SU record — they just lost to the Hornets yesterday by 10 points and I don’t see them turning it around with so little time to rest.

Over 211.5 points (-110)

Minnesota’s games have been cashing on the over quite a lot lately with 4 of the last 5 bets landing. They’ve averaged 125.6 points per game during that stretch while giving up 114.2 per game. On the road they are 15-6 on the O/U for the season, plus 9 of their last 11 games have all cashed on the over. Even though the Knicks haven’t been as prolific on offense lately, I think that trend continues tonight. Minnesota likes to speed things up — they play the 8th-fastest tempo in the NBA averaging 101.3 possessions per game. With both teams being outside the top 10 in defensive efficiency, I think we’re in for a high-scoring game here.

Anthony Edwards over 20.5 points (+100)

The Knicks have serious issues defending the perimeter — just last night Miles Bridges and Terry Rozier dropped 38 and 22 points on them. Prior to that, Trae Young scored 29 on them. The trio of Alec Burks, Evan Fournier and RJ Barrett aren’t simply good enough to keep players in check, especially those who are athletically gifted. Anthony Edwards is definitely one of those guys, he’s averaged 22.7 points over his last 9 games, plus on the road this season he’s scoring 24.1 per game.

Although Edwards had a bad game against the Warriors, the 2 games prior to that he dropped 30 on the Grizzlies and 28 on the Pelicans. He’s gone over 20.5 points 5 times in 8 games so far in 2022. He’s also made 4 threes in 4 of those 8 games and at least 2 in all but one of them. I’m expecting a big performance from him against a mediocre Knicks team here.

D’Angelo Russell 10+ assists (+330)

Russell’s focus on getting everyone involved has really gone up since the new year started. He’s averaged 8.8 assists per game, but that number would have been a lot higher if it wasn’t for the 3-assist game against the Thunder on January 6. After that, he’s had 4 games of 10+ assists in the next 5 and he’s coming off a 12-assist night against the Golden State Warriors. In his last 8 games, he has recorded double figures 6 times, which makes me really optimistic for tonight’s game. The Knicks aren’t exactly a team good at stopping opponents from sharing the ball. They rank only 23rd in opponent assists at home allowing 24.3 of them per game. Combine that with soft perimeter defenders, I think Russell will find ways to dominate here.
