Today kicks off the Elite 8, and we have two games ahead of us: Florida Atlantic University (+2) vs Kansas State and UConn (-2.5) vs Gonzaga. I’m currently 5-3 on my player props on the tournament after going 1-1 last night. With so few games left, it can be difficult to find an edge, but we will do our best to limit exposure to bad bets. Andre Jackson (UConn) over 18.5 PRA (-120)

Jackson has been a staple on this UConn mens team in the tournament. Averaging 7.6 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds, putting him right at 19 PRA in March Madness. The big factor for Jackson is that he rarely leaves the floor, averaging 33 MPG throughout the tournament. The total for this UConn/ZAGA game is at 153.5, implying a high scoring affair and more possessions. I see a slight edge on this line at 18.5 and would only go to 19.5 if you get plus-money odds (on DK). Gonzaga is fireworks offensively, but defensively leaves less to be desired. They rank #143 in Opp Assists per game and are bottom 200 overall in Opp 3P%, Opp 2P%, and OPP FGM per game. I can see Jackson hitting 35+ minutes, and that makes this line an easy target. 1U

Alijah Martin (FAU) over 19.5 PRA (-130)

FAU is a defensive juggernaut in this tournament, but I’m more curious what they do offensively tonight against K-State; it will be what determines the outcome of this game. Martin was averaging 19.7 PRA for the season on only 26.5 MPG. In the tournament, his minutes jumped to 31 per game, and that’s where this becomes attractive. K-State is ranked #234 in Opp Assists/Game, #134 in Opp Rebounds/Game, and #142 in Opp Points/Game. This should help Martin fill up the stat sheet along and assuming he gets over 30+minutes (he should), this line is fully in his wheelhouse. 0.5U
