Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season concludes tonight with Monday Night Football as the Las Vegas Raiders make the trip to Detroit to take on the Lions. Both teams suffered heavy losses last week but tonight offers a great opportunity for them to make amends. Detroit suddenly has Minnesota breathing down its neck in the NFC North, although the season-ending injury to Kirk Cousins should make their journey to securing the division title easier.

Regardless, Dan Campbell’s team will be laser-focused on securing the win tonight to move clear at the top of the standings. The Raiders can move to .500 on the season with a win and keep their playoff ambitions alive. Let’s break down our Raiders vs Lions Same Game Parlay, which gets started at 8:15 pm ET on ABC. You can bet this SGP at boosted odds with Caesars to get even more value on the bet!

Lions -9.5 alternate spread (+126)

Davante Adams to score a TD (+150)

Same Game Parlay odds: +500 +575 with Caesars

Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay is that you can have conflicting legs to drive up the odds. That is the plan here, as a win by Detroit of more than 2 touchdowns doesn’t necessarily line up with Davante Adams finding the end zone. However, I don’t expect Las Vegas to be shut out completely and can see Adams still having a big game. Let’s break down each of the legs.

Detroit Lions -9.5 over Las Vegas Raiders (+126)

I’m not ashamed to admit that Lions +3 against the Ravens was one of my favorite bets of Week 7, and then it completely blew up in my face as Baltimore won 38-6. But I’m not letting that defeat put me off this Detroit team that is clearly building something special. Prior to that game, the Lions had won 4 straight by at least 14 points and DAn Campbell has this offense firing. That should give them the edge against a Raiders team that, despite having Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs and Jakobi Meyers, has scored the 2nd-fewest points in the league. The Lions are tied-5th for the most rushing touchdowns in the NFL, while the Raiders are tied-5th for allowing the most rushing TDs. This one doesn’t have to be a high-scoring matchup for Detroit to win big on Monday night.

Davante Adams to score a touchdown (+150)

It’s no secret that Adams has been pushing for a trade away from Vegas, and that could result in Jimmy Garoppolo giving him some more service in a bid to keep him around. The star wideout currently has 3 touchdowns this season — fewer than Meyers’ 5 — and it has been 4 games without a score for Adams.

Still, he should get plenty of targets and we’ve seen what Adams is capable of when given the opportunity. Detroit has allowed 11 passing touchdowns this season and at +150 odds, I think we’re getting great value on a player of this quality finding the end zone.
