We cashed 2 Same Game Parlays in Week 7 of the NFL season, including a +1700 home run on the New York Jets vs Denver Broncos showdown. Let’s keep the momentum going into Week 8, which begins in the form of Thursday Night Football between the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Ravens are 4-3, which is unspectacular but still better than the Buccaneers (3-4).

Below is our SGP for TNF, and also be sure to check out our full NFL picks on the side and total for every Week 8 matchup, where our experts are 63-44 on spread picks this season!

Baltimore Ravens -1.5 (-110)

Devin Duvernay to score a touchdown (+285)

Leonard Fournette over 44.5 rushing yards (-180)

Parlay odds: +950

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Devin Duvernay finding the end zone would obviously work well with a Baltimore cover. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing Leonard Fournette to rack up a decent amount of rushing yards. But even if Fournette does that, there is no reason why the Ravens can’t take care of business. Let’s break down each of these legs one by one.

Baltimore Ravens -1.5 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-110)

The last 2 weeks have been an unmitigated disaster for Tampa Bay. A 2-game losing streak is bad enough regardless of the opposition, but when it comes at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers, it’s especially alarming. The Ravens have not been amazing, themselves, but they are at least sporting a winning record and coming off a big AFC North win over the Cleveland Browns. Look no further than the spread to see that this is expected to be a close game, in which case I am happy to ride with the team that boasts the best kicker in the business (Baltimore’s Justin Tucker). However, I actually think the Bucs will be lucky if this even comes down to a field goal; the Ravens just might cover with ease.

Devin Duvernay to score a touchdown (+285)

I thought about Mark Andrews as an anytime touchdown scorer and did the same with Rashod Bateman. However, both guys are questionable. In all likelihood, their limited status in practice is just precautionary and somewhat due to a short week, but they are still risky plays as a result and they may not be 100 percent even if they are on the field. Gus Edwards is also questionable. Duvernay, on the other hand, is good to go and may be relied upon more heavily than usual. He has already scored 3 touchdowns in 2022 and has been targeted at least 5 times in 3 of the last 4 games. The Bucs are pretty good against the pass, but they have allowed 11 touchdowns through the air – tied for 9th-most in the NFL.

Leonard Fournette over 44.5 rushing yards (-180)

It’s going to take a lot more than 4 regular-season losses to completely write off Tom Brady, but he is playing with zero confidence at the moment. It may be a while before Tampa Bay’s passing offense gets off the ground. Meanwhile, the Ravens’ defense – amazingly enough – can no longer be found at the bottom of passing statistics. They are not getting carved up through the air with ease this season, and given Brady’s current form it’s hard to think Tampa Bay will be the team to suddenly start abusing Baltimore’s secondary.

Instead, I am expecting a steady dose of Fournette as the Bucs aim to prolong drives and keep Lamar Jackson off the field. Fournette has exceeded this number in 4 of 6 games in 2022, all with double-digits to spare (56, 63, 65 and 127). The Ravens are in the bottom half of the league in yards per carry allowed (4.5), so Fournette should be able to do some damage.
