NFL Week 6 same game parlay (+971 odds): Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears

Aaron Rodgers (12) in action against the Chicago Bears in Week 17

Green Bay is on a roll after four straight wins and now heads to Chicago looking to put down a mini Bears revival. The Packers will enjoy nothing more than a Sunday in Chicago if recent meetings are anything to go by, having won 10 of the last 11 head to head matchups.

Can they improve that winning streak against the Bears, or will Justin Fields and company show they are ready to compete in the NFC North after registering back-to-back wins over the Lions and Raiders to move to 3-2?

These divisional clashes usually throw up plenty of excitement and what better way to enhance your enjoyment of the game than with a same game parlay that returns…

Green Bay Packers -6 (-110)

Over 9.5 Chicago Bears second-half points (-116)

Aaron Rodgers over 265.5 passing yards (-114)

Parlay odds: +971

Let’s take a look at each leg.

Green Bay Packers -6 (-110)

The money has been coming in for the Packers and the line has now shifted to 6 points, but there is still value in taking them to win this game by at least a touchdown.

History suggests the Packers will cover whatever the spread ends up being, having gone 17-5 ATS in the last 22 trips to Chicago, while they are 3-1 ATS during their current four-game winning run. However, the Bears have played well in their last two outings, with their defense, in particular, looking somewhere close to its old self. Khalil Mack played superbly well in the Week 5 win against his old team, the Las Vegas Raiders, and is a threat to this patched-up Packers line.

However, the Bears offense remains a work in progress and may struggle to keep pace with the Packers if Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams get cooking again as they did in Cincinnati when combing for 206 yards and a touchdown. That bit of extra quality Green Bay has should see them cover this spread.

Over 9.5 Chicago Bears second-half points (-116)

While the Bears will struggle to put up enough points to cover, that doesn’t mean it will be a repeat of their 47-yard horror show against Cleveland in Week 3. This offense has looked way more component since head coach Matt Nagy took a step back and they have an identity now, which is to run, run and run again.

Damien Williams and Khalil Herbert did a nice job against the Raiders, while Fields stuck well to the gameplan, making a couple of clutch throws in Las Vegas when he had to. The Bears have averaged 22 points per game the last two weeks and with the Packers losing a key member of their defense every week, the opportunities are there for Chicago to put some points on the board. It’s worth betting them to score at least 10 points in the second half, as that also opens the door for some garbage time points.

Aaron Rodgers over 265.5 passing yards (-114)

Rodgers is a big reason why the Packers have dominated the Bears for most of this millennium. In 25 games against Chicago, Rodgers has thrown for 55 touchdowns and has a 107.2 passer rating, helped by two emphatic performances last season.

Rodgers was 40-for-53 (75.4%) for 451 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions in two games against the Bears and he comes into this latest matchup off the back of his best showing, statistically, of the season. A-Rod threw for 344 yards against the Bengals and the Packers are likely going to need him to sling it again if the Bears’ run defense meets expectations.

With the weather set fair and Rodgers bringing an in-form Adams to the party, get on him to have a big day.
