NHL Friday mega parlay (+1110 odds): Take 2 overs and a puck line

Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby (87) celebrates his goal against the Ottawa Senators with Bryan Rust during the second period of an NHL hockey game in Pittsburgh, Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022

Friday brings us a small slate of 5 NHL games. The acton gets started at 7:00 pm ET, with the final game of the evening starting at 9:00 pm ET. Just because we have a relatively small slate doesn’t mean we can’t aim for a big pay day with a mega parlay. Along with this parlay, don’t forget to check out our full game previews for each NHL matchup on tonight’s slate.

Now let’s get to it.

Red Wings vs Penguins over 6 (-110)

Stars -1.5 (+235)

Wild vs Rangers over 6 (-112)

Parlay odds: +1110

Red Wings vs Penguins over 6 (-110)

Last night’s result might be a concern to over backers, as the Penguins scored only 1 goal against a Kraken team that averages 3.31 goals against per game. But that game was something of a fluke. Pittsburgh has proved it can take advantage of weak defensive teams, scoring 5+ goals against the Coyotes, Senators, and Blue Jackets recently, all of whom struggle defensively. Detroit is not good at keeping the puck out of the net either, so the Penguins could run up the score. The Red Wings also have impressive players who can score and help the total to go over. This could be a high-scoring affair.

Dallas Stars -1.5 (+235) over Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals are in a bit of a slump. They have lost 7 of their last 10 games, and they have scored over 3 goals in a game just once during that span. On the other side, the Dallas Stars are on a 4-game winning streak and have scored 18 goals in those games. Both teams rank around average in expected goals and goals per game this season, but the Capitals have gone cold, averaging 2.2 goals per game in their last 5. The Stars have been lighting the lamp in their last 5 games, averaging 4.2 goals. Although the Stars rank 11th in expected goals against, they are 20th in goals against per game and have averaged 3 goals allowed in their last 5. The Capitals are coming off back-to-back losses for the first time this season, and now they hit the road to face a solid Stars team that is playing with some confidence. Don’t be surprised if the Stars pick up a big win.

Wild vs Rangers over 6 (-112)

Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello are having tremendous seasons for Minnesota. Kaprizov leads the team with 49 points (17 goals, 32 assists) in 37 games, while Zuccarello has racked up 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists) in 32 games. Together, they are a tough tandem to stop. Life could be difficult for New York’s defensive unit, especially when you consider that they may be dealing with some fatigue after last night’s game in Columbus. The good news for the Rangers is that they are capable of making things happen on the offensive end as well. The Rangers are putting up 3.22 goals per game at home, and Artemi Panarin is in fine form with 12 points in this last 6 games. Overall, both offenses should be able to keep the pressure on all game long. Look to the over.
