NHL Saturday mega parlay (+816 odds): Rangers can cruise at home

New York Rangers left wing Artemi Panarin against the San Jose Sharks during an NHL hockey game in San Jose, Calif., Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022

There are 11 games on Saturday’s NHL schedule. Games are being played all day, too. The action gets started at 1:00 p.m. ET, and the final game of the day gets going at 10:30 p.m. ET. In what should be an action-packed day of hockey, we are spicing things up with a mega parlay at +816 odds. Along with this parlay, don’t forget to check out our full game previews for each game on today’s slate.

Now let’s get to it.

Jets ML (+150)

Rangers -1.5 (-120)

Maple Leafs/Islanders over 5.5 (+100)

Parlay odds: +816

Winnipeg Jets ML (+150) over Boston Bruins

The big news for the Bruins coming in to this matchup is that Brad Marchand, their top point scorer, will be absent with an upper body injury. Even though one player doesn’t make a team, Marchand does so much for the Bruins. His absence will be felt everywhere on the ice. Offensively, these teams are already so closely ranked that without Marchand, there’s a small edge to the Jets. They both rank top -10 in expected goals for while the Bruins rank 12th in goals for per game, whereas the Jets rank 16th. The value is with the Jets and the positive number they are getting against a team whose superstar is out.

New York Rangers -1.5 (-120)

The Rangers lost 6-3 to the Hurricanes last night, but No. 1 net minder Igor Shesterkin is slated to be back between the pipes in this one. On the season, Shesterkin is 18-4-2 with an impressive .938 save percentage and 2.04 GAA. The Coyotes possess one of the league’s lowest-scoring offenses, as they are putting up a measly 2.26 goals per game. Shesterkin should be able to limit the damage from Arizona’s offensive attack in this matchup.

Offensively, the Rangers have scored 3 goals or more in 4 straight games. The Coyotes may have a tough time keeping up with that production, especially against a goaltender of Shesterkin’s talent. Adam Fox and Artemi Panarin are averaging more than a point per game, while Chris Kreider leads the team with 25 goals in 40 games. The Coyotes do not have a player averaging a point per game. Overall, the Rangers should be able to take care of business in this one. Take New York on the -1.5 puck line.

Maple Leafs/Islanders over 5.5 (+100)

New York has a great opportunity to continue its solid scoring tonight. The Islanders have scored 4 goals in each of their last 3 games, which is a good amount for this regularly low-scoring team. Toronto usually plays great on the back end, but it is clear this group is a little off key back there. The Maple Leafs have allowed 11 goals in their last 2 games, and they may struggle against an Islanders team that is in a groove offensively. On the other side, we know Toronto knows how to score. Their offense is full of talent, Auston Matthews leads the way with 25 goals in 34 games. Both teams should be able to generate enough scoring chances to take this one over the total.
