Our NFL expert's best player prop bets for Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (11) runs past Atlanta Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell (24) for a touchdown in the second quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

It’s time for Carrie Underwood! This week’s edition of Sunday Night Football features the Green Bay Packers against the Minnesota Vikings  in Minneapolis. Both NFC North teams are still in the playoff hunt, but a loss tonight would all but end their season. I’ve focused on the player prop market for this primetime game, and I’ve found two best bets to lock in for Sunday Night Football.

Jayden Reed (GB) Over 4.5 Receptions (-130)

Jayden Reed has had a breakout rookie season for the Packers. Between him and Jordan Love, the future looks bright in Green Bay. Reed has had the opportunity to flourish this season because Christian Watson and Luke Musgrave have been battling injuries for most of the season. Watson was supposed to be the WR1, but with him out, it’s been a lot more of Reed and Romeo Doubs this year. The rookie receiver has recorded at least 5 catches in two straight games and at least 4 catches in 6 straight games, so he’s been a consistent threat in the offense. Reed sat out Week 16 with an injury but is expected back on the field Sunday, and I’m expecting Love to target his favorite rookie receiver early and often.

Jaren Hall (MIN) Under 19.5 Pass Completions (-115)

It’s been a rotating door of quarterbacks for the Vikings this season. Kirk Cousins, Josh Dobbs, Nick Mullens, and now Jaren Hall have all started a game for Minnesota since Week 1. I was slightly surprised to see Hall named the starter for Week 17 since Mullens performed well in the loss to the Lions last week, throwing for over 400 yards. Minnesota still has a 25% chance of making the playoffs so this is still a meaningful game, but it’s hard to expect Hall to thrive against a solid Packers secondary. Plus, Alexander Mattison and Ty Chandler should both be active for tonight which will take away a lot of opportunities for Hall. I’m expecting Hall’s stat line to look something like 18/27 for 210 yards, so I’ll take the under on his completions for this primetime matchup.
