It has certainly been an interesting Super ild Card Weekend so far, highlighted by the Packers’ shocking blowout of the Cowboys in Dallas. The first round now wraps up with a playoff installment of Monday Night Football, featuring Philadelphia and Tampa Bay. The Pickswise team has been on fire with their touchdown scorer prop picks throughout this 2023 NFL campaign, so let’s keep the momentum going! Here are my best TD scorer bets for Monday night, and also be sure to check out our full Eagles vs Buccaneers predictions.

Jalen Hurts, QB, PHI to score a touchdown (-125)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

You don’t often see a quarterback priced considerably into minus money to find the endzone himself, but for Hurts it is nothing out of the ordinary. And even at this price, he has good value. After all, no signal-caller in football has a knack for paydirt like Hurts. The Alabama product ran for 15 touchdowns during the regular season after delivering 13 the previous season. His playoff numbers are even better. Last year Hurts punched it in himself a whopping 5 times in 3 playoff games, including 3 in Philadelphia’s Super Bowl loss to Kansas City. The Eagles are without A.J. Brown, giving Hurts all the more reason to keep the ball in his own hands. In the most important game of the season so far, Philly would be wise to do what it does best: run the ball – and specifically run it with its QB.

Chris Godwin, WR, TB to score a touchdown (+265)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

It is true that Godwin caught just 2 touchdown passes during the regular season. However, that is why you can get him all the way up in the +265 range. I think he will rise to this playoff occasion, too. Godwin was targeted 13 times in the wild-card round last year and turned those chances into 10 catches for 85 yards against Dallas. Count on the former Penn State standout racking up similar success at Philadelphia’s expense, complete with a touchdown. The Eagles were second-to-last in the NFL in passing defense, giving up 252.7 yards per game on 7.0 yards per attempt. They surrendered 35 TDs through the air, the 2nd-most in the entire league. This is a great opportunity for Godwin to come up big in Tampa Bay’s biggest game of the season.
