This week in the NBA is a rollercoaster in terms of volume of games every night. Last night we were treated to a whopping 11 matchups while tonight is a slim 4-game slate. However, these 4 are all quality matchups and we have no double-digit spreads for once! Rejoice. Let’s start with this little gem. Curry is averaging 9.9 rebounds+assists on the road with a 66% hit rate when traveling and a 59% hit rate on the season. Kerr’s comments that they can’t rely on Steph all the time to carry the franchise is coach speak at its finest, but I’m going to take it as he can’t shoulder the scoring burden every night. He can still do a damn good job facilitating and setting people up at the rim when he breaks into the lane. This would obviously ease the workload on his body from attacking the rim.
Rebounding-wise, it’s another good look on paper. Curry’s averaging rebound distance over the last 10 games is 10.2 feet and we’ve seen others have success against Miami in that range — Lu Dort 10 potential, Michael Porter Jr. 10 potential and Larry Nance 14 potential. Curry’s 5.6 rebounds per game over the last 10 games is third on the team behind Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis. 1u
