A cold Tuesday in January is made a little bit better with a 10-game slate in the NHL. Even if your team is not suited up, there is plenty to watch out for all night, beginning at 7:00 pm ET. There is also plenty of betting value on the board, whether it is a money line, puck line, game total or player prop. If you are looking to partake, there is no shortage of picks available with 20 teams in action. You can find out our best NHL player prop bets below, but make sure you also read our NHL predictions for today’s games.

William Nylander over 1.5 points (-115)

The latest large contract in the NHL belongs to William Nylander. Hot off the presses, Nylander just signed an 8-year extension worth $92 million with the Maple Leafs. He is having a career season and should have even more of a jump in his step on Tuesday night off the back of this exciting extension. Nylander’s 21 goals are second on the Maple Leafs. His 33 assists and 54 points both lead Toronto and they are not even halfway through the season with 37 out of 82 games played.

Obviously, Nylander is a stud. But it certainly does not hurt that he also plays with some combination of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and Morgan Reilly. Nylander and this star-studded team have a very favorable matchup on Tuesday against the Sharks. San Jose has lost 11 straight games and allows the most goals per game in the NHL. Nylander had 2 goals and an assist against the Sharks on Saturday and there is no reason he cannot have a repeat performance.

Connor McDavid over 0.5 goals (-115)

The Oilers are one of the hottest teams in the NHL over the past month and a half. Unsurprisingly, that hot streak has coincided with some red-hot performances from Connor McDavid. Since November 24, the Oilers are 15-3-0. In that same span, McDavid has tallied 8 goals and 38 points. That is an average of 2.11 points per game. On Tuesday, McDavid gets a very favorable matchup to keep that run going.

McDavid and the Oilers visit the Blackhawks for what should be a lopsided game in favor of Edmonton. The game lost a little bit of luster since Connor Bedard is shelved due to injury. Nonetheless, it should be business as usual for McDavid and a hot Oilers team. The Blackhawks allow the 2nd-most goals per game in the NHL and they have 5 wins in their last 19 since the start of December. This looks to be a stat-padding night for McDavid.
