About Last Night
Wonderful Wednesday on the diamond
The Pickswise MLB team conjured up some more midweek magic with a 10-5 record on our ML and RL plays while JutPicks went 2-0 with his MLB player props! The Padres completed a sweep of 1-run wins over the Giants, the Cardinals needed 13 innings to beat the Reds 5-3 and the Mets evened up their series with the Dodgers, winning 2-1. The Phillies went wild in the last game of the night, crushing the Diamondbacks 18-2.
Soccer picks hit the target
It was a busy night of MLS games, but the Pickswise cappers went 7-4 on the slate. The upset of the night saw Houston beating Western Conference leaders LAFC 2-1.
College football Week 1 is here

8-game slate in MLB
We have only 8 MLB games today but the action gets going early with Mariners vs Tigers at 1:10 pm ET. Orioles vs Guardians is on ESPN+ at 6:10 pm ET. Read today’s MLB predictions.
EPL action continues
There was plenty of drama in the Premier League yesterday, with Liverpool scoring a very late winning goal to beat Newcastle, while Manchester City thrashed Nottingham Forest 6-0, and the midweek EPL games are completed by Leicester City vs Manchester United on USA Network at 3:00 pm ET.
Nadal in action at Flushing Meadows
It’s Day 4 of the U.S. Open tennis in New York and Ricky Dimon has a pick for Rafael Nadal’s match among his best bets for today’s tennis.
Best Bet of the Day
CFB: West Virginia Mountaineers +7.5 vs Pittsburgh Panthers
7:15 pm ET, FOX
The ‘Backyard Brawl’ is also the Former USC QB Bowl this year as a pair of Trojan transfers will start for West Virginia and Pittsburgh. JT Daniels is now the starter for the Mountaineers while Kedon Slovis takes the snaps for the Panthers. Even though Pitt returns seven starters on offense, they have lost some key pieces from their ACC Championship team last year, most notably QB Kenny Pickett and standout wide receiver Jordan Addison. West Virginia brings a new scheme with new offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, who was with Daniels at USC. That should be a plus for the Mountaineers and WVU also returns all 5 starters on its offensive line. This is a good spot for the Mountaineers to cover and even steal a surprise win. Check out our full West Virginia vs Pittsburgh predictions.
