Braves first to clinch division title in 2023
It’s not even officially fall yet, but it’s starting to feel like it with MLB teams clinching division titles. Well, that is the case at least for the Braves; it won’t be for anyone else at least for a few more days. Atlanta clinched its sixth straight NL East crown on Wednesday by beating Philadelphia 4-1. Memphis has home-field advantage in this Thursday night matchup and should be able to win big against Navy. The biggest reason for confidence in the Tigers is their well-balanced offense. Veteran quarterback Seth Henigan runs the show and is complimented by a dynamic rushing attack. This is a team that can contend in the American Athletic Conference. Can Navy come close to keeping up? Maybe not. The Midshipmen got destroyed by Notre Dame in Ireland to begin the season and they didn’t even look that dominant against Wagner.
