Good morning, Pickswise Nation. Let’s get through this first Sunday with no competitive football since September together. We have everything you need to enhance your enjoyment of today’s NBA, college basketball and soccer action, and the Super Bowl is now just 7 days away, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

Clippers beat Knicks in OT
The Clippers had their backers worried last night, as they l0st a 15-point lead in the 4th quarter against the Knicks only to bounce back in overtime to win 134-128. Clippers -3.5 had been our only 3-star play on Saturday, and props ace Bobby “Prop Holliday” Stanley went 3-0 with his NBA player props picks. The Warriors beat the Mavericks 119-113 but failed to cover a double-digit spread despite leading 40-23 after the first quarter. Steph Curry leaving with a knee injury hampered Golden State.

Atlantic Division stars in Florida
The NHL’s all-star honors went to the Atlantic Division, which beat the Central Division 7-5 in the final. Florida Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk was named the tournament MVP.

Hoosiers pop Boilermakers’ bubble
#1 Purdue lost 79-74 to Indiana on Saturday, inflicting only the second loss on the Boilermakers this season. Virginia, Kansas State and Kansas were other ranked teams that were beaten.

Today’s Slate

76ers vs Knicks on ESPN
While it will be interesting to see what kind of TV audience the NFL’s Pro Bowl flag football games draw today (3:00 pm ET, ESPN), the NBA provides the main sporting action of the day with a 6-game slate including 76ers vs Knicks at 6:00 pm ET on ESPN. The Magic and Hornets get the day started at 1:00 pm ET. Read today’s NBA picks.

There’s college basketball and soccer, too
It’s a quieter day of college hoops after yesterday’s shocks, but #3 Houston is taking the court while Ohio State plays Michigan. Read today’s NCAAB predictions. We also have soccer picks for today’s EPL games, which include Tottenham vs Manchester City on NBC at 11:30 am ET.

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAB: Temple Owls +11 over Houston Cougars
6:00 pm ET, ESPN2

Temple and Houston meet in a rematch of one of the year’s biggest upsets after Temple upended then #1 Houston 56-55 on the Cougars’ own home court. Including that win, Temple has been on a hot streak — winning 4 in a row. Houston has won 3 straight since the Temple loss, but the Owls’ defense has improved remarkably since beginning conference play. This is too large of a spread for teams that play ultra-slowly and emphasize defense. Houston is the better team and should win, but we’ll take 11 points with the home team in a matchup that the underdog won just a couple of weeks ago. Check out our full Houston vs Temple predictions.

You can bet on our Houston vs Temple pick over at Bet365, where you can get $200 in bonus bets by betting just $1! Click here to sign up for the world’s #1 sportsbook and take advantage of this can’t-miss offer.
