Welcome to another wonderful week of sports, Pickswise Nation. Today’s MLB slate is the main focus of attention, while we digest Novak Djokovic’s Wimbledon win and look ahead to the British Open golf later this week. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

It was a super Sunday of baseball picks
The Pickswise MLB team had a super Sunday, going 11-4 on ML/RL picks. The success of our new daily first-inning run picks continued as we went 2-0 for the 4th straight day, taking the record for the YRFI/NRFI article to an incredible 10-2! On the field, the fast-rising Orioles made it 8 straight wins by beating the Angels 9-5, the Marlins beat the Mets 2-0 in 10 innings, the Reds upset the Rays 10-5 and the Red Sox beat the Yankees 11-6 to split their series.

Djokovic delivers
Novak Djokovic was Ricky Dimon’s 3-star play at -120 to win the Wimbledon men’s title and delivered in a 4-set final win over bad boy Nick Kyrgios, with Pickswise going 4-2 over both finals. Don’t miss his picks for this week’s Bastad Swedish Open.

Today’s Slate

10 MLB games on the schedule
We have 10 Monday MLB games on today’s slate, with the Royals and Tigers playing a doubleheader in Kansas City, with the 2:10 pm ET game being shown on ESPN+. The Mets and Braves have their aces on the mound for a series opener on FS1 at 7:20 pm ET. Read our previews of all today’s baseball games.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Chicago White Sox ML over Cleveland Guardians
7:10 pm ET

These AL Central opponents enter this series on quite opposite trajectories. Although they are separated by just half a game in the division, their recent performances would not suggest that. The Guardians just lost by 4 runs to the Royals, the worst team in the division, and were swept in a 4-game series by the Tigers prior to that. Meanwhile, the White Sox are slowly getting healthy and outscored the Tigers 12-2 over the last 2 days. The White Sox have already defeated Cal Quantrill and the Guardians this season, and that was before Chicago’s lineup got healthy. Check out our full preview for White Sox vs Guardians.

Quote of the Day

” I’ll wait hopefully for some good news from USA because I would really love to go there. If that doesn’t happen, then I have to see what the schedule will look like.”

Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic does not currently expect to play in the US Open due to his non-vaccinated status.
