Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to Wise n’ Shine, your one-stop shop for everything you need to know to bet better today!

Monday Night Football is in the spotlight tonight with the MLB taking a break before the playoffs start tomorrow. Let’s get straight to it!

About Last Night

Brady beats Belichick, Cardinals crush Rams
Tom Brady won 19-17 on his return to New England with Tampa Bay, although the Super Bowl champions failed to cover. Earlier on Sunday, the Giants, Jets, and Colts had all picked up their first wins of the season, while the Broncos, Rams, and Panthers suffered their first defeats. Pickswise cashed a nice same game parlay on the Chiefs-Eagles game at +950 odds!

Giants win the West, Yankees to face Red Sox in AL Wild Card
Game 162 of the MLB season set the field for the playoffs, with the San Francisco Giants beating the Padres 11-4 for their 107th win of the year to take the NL West title. That condemned the 106-win Dodgers to a Wild Card contest against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday. The American League Wild-Card race had provided plenty of entertainment over the last week, and it ended with the Red Sox and Yankees (both 92-70) holding off the Blue Jays. Gerrit Cole and Nathan Eovaldi will be on the mound at Fenway Park tomorrow, with the Yankees -120 ML favorites.

Big wins in soccer and golf
It was a super Sunday for our soccer and golf experts as we cashed an EPL same game parlay on the 2-2 tie between Liverpool and Manchester City at +1379 odds! And Sam Burns, the winner of the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship, was our 3-star pick for the tournament at +1400.

Today’s Slate

Raiders and Chargers in the spotlight
The Raiders are 3-0 this season, while the Chargers are 2-1 and coming off last week’s great win over the Chiefs. That sounds like a recipe for an entertaining game (ESPN, 8:15pm ET). Check out our MNF same game parlay (+800 odds!). It’s by John Hyslop, who cashed the Chiefs-Eagles same game parlay, so it’s well worth checking out.

Best Bet of the Day

Los Angeles Chargers -3.5 vs Las Vegas Raiders
8:15pm ET, ESPN

The Raiders are 3-0 and on the surface it looks like they have beaten some quality opponents, but things aren’t always as they seem. The Chargers have a smooth offense and Mike Williams is an absolute star in this league. The Chargers can pull away late and stay there to hand the Raiders their first loss of the season. Read our full preview for tonight’s game here.

Must-watch

The bad news is there’s no MLB this afternoon. The good news is that gives you more time to watch our great daily betting show Let’s Bet It, which is available on our YouTube channel at:youtube.com/c/Pickswise. The team will give you their best bets for Monday Night Football and look ahead to the rest of the week’s action.

Must-read

If you missed Sunday’s Week 4 action, Andrew Ortenberg has all the pertinent takeaways in his Week 4 wrap, while Ricky Dimon assesses what we learned from Sunday Night Football — and it’s not all bad news for the Patriots. We’re also looking forward to this weekend’s games as Jared Smith finds the value in the opening lines with his Early Birds column.

Be sure to head over to the Analysis tab for even more great betting content.

Stat of the Day

Eight of the Raiders’ last 10 games have gone over the total points line.

Boost of the day

Derek Carr to have 325+ passing yards

Derek Carr is winning over some of his critics this season and if you think he can keep that going on MNF tonight, DraftKings Sportsbook has boosted the price of him passing for 325+ yards from +250 to +280.
