Good morning Pickswise Nation and welcome to Wise n’ Shine, your one-stop shop for everything you need to know to bet better today!

What a weekend of sport that was — the United States won the Ryder Cup in emphatic fashion, world heavyweight boxing titles changed hands, MLB playoff issues were resolved, and NFL Week 3 was a real doozy, topped by a classic Aaron Rodgers game-winning drive! Things are a little calmer on this Monday morning, but let’s check out what’s going on.

About Last Night

Records, upsets and comebacks
The NFL had a little bit of everything on Sunday with a record-breaking game-winning field goal, the Super Bowl favorites ending up bottom of their division, and the Super Bowl champions suffering the first loss of their defense. Amid all the madness our handicappers went 2-1 on NFL Best Bets (Falcons +3 and Bears-Browns under). Check out Ricky Dimon’s review of what we saw in Sunday’s NFL games.

The 1-2 Chiefs are still Super Bowl favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook, but now at +600 odds, while DraftKings Sportsbook has the Bucs on top at +550, with the Rams and Bills both now shorter than 10/1.

MLB parlay cashes at +925 odds!
John Hyslop made it a special Sunday for those who tailed his same game parlay on the Mets vs Brewers game as 2+ hits for both Willy Adames and Lorenzo Cain cashed it at +925 odds. It was a great day all round for our MLB handicappers, who went 11-4 on the sides and 10-5 on the totals on Sunday’s games.

In the games themselves, the St. Louis Cardinals made it a sweet 16 wins a row with a 4-2 victory over the Cubs. One win in their final 6 games would give them the second NL wild-card spot. The Brewers clinched the NL Central title by beating the Mets and they are +750 with FanDuel to win the World Series.

Today’s Slate

Eagles-Cowboys on MNF
The NFC East is on display in Monday Night Football as the Cowboys and Eagles do battle at AT&T Stadium. Both teams are thankfully improved this season and will be chasing a crucial early divisional win. Check out our full game preview of Eagles vs Cowboys.

Make-up Monday in MLB
There are only 5 MLB games today, but that’s still more than we were expecting after 3 make-up games were added to the original schedule. The pick of the games is the Athletics-Mariners showdown between two teams who are still alive in the hunt for an AL playoff place. Check out our picks for all of today’s MLB action here. Soccer fans can also read our recommended play for today’s EPL game between Crystal Palace and Brighton (3pm ET, NBCSN).

Best Bet of the Day

Colorado Rockies -1.5 vs Washington Nationals
8:40pm ET, MLBN

This series against the Nationals gives the Rockies a great chance to finish their home schedule on a winning note. Colorado is great at home and German Marquez has been a big part of it. He is 8-2 at Coors Field this season. The Rockies are also 8-2 in Marquez’s last 10 starts. Read our full preview for this game.

Must-watch

Our great daily betting show Let’s Bet It will be available on our YouTube channel at:youtube.com/c/Pickswise. The team will rake over all the fallout of the betting weekend and break down all the day’s best bets.

Must-read

If you missed the classic Sunday Night Football showdown between the 49ers and Packers, don’t worry, as Andrew Ortenberg has his take on what we saw in the game — and it’s not good news if you’re Jimmy Garoppolo… If you’re still catching up on the weekend action, don’t forget you can still read Ricky Dimon’s look at what we learned from College Football Week 4, too. Be sure to head over to the Analysis tab for even more great betting content.

Stat of the Day

The Dallas Cowboys have covered the spread in 5 of their last 7 games against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Boost of the day

Dak Prescott to record 3+ passing touchdowns vs Eagles

The Dallas offense has been fun to watch this season and those expecting more fireworks in the passing game tonight can take advantage of this odds boost from DraftKings Sportsbook, which has raised the odds on Dak Prescott throwing 3 or more passing touchdowns from +165 to +190.
