About Last Night

Mets take valuable twin wins
There was no shortage of MLB action on Saturday with 17 games played. The Mets took full advantage of their important doubleheader against the Braves, winning 8-5 and 6-2 to move 5.5 games ahead of Atlanta in the NL East. The other doubleheader was split as the Angels won the nightcap 7-1 against the Mariners. The Guardians upset the Astros 4-1 behind Cal Quantrill, while the Cardinals beat the Yankees 1-0.

PLL picks in fine form
Our lacrosse handicappers went 2-1 on Saturday’s PLL spread picks, making it a 3-1 weekend overall.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Colorado Rockies vs Arizona Diamondbacks Over 8.5
4:10 pm ET

The Diamondbacks’ game against the Rockies could have plenty of fireworks. That’s largely been the case for Arizona’s home games in Chase Field. It doesn’t have the recognition of the Rockies’ Coors Field, but it’s right on par in terms of being hitter-friendly. Arizona’s home ballpark ranks 1st for extra-base hits and 2nd for overall runs. It trails Colorado’s home stadium in terms of home runs only due to the thin air. Not only do the Rockies have a poor pitching staff, but Christian Walker is also one of the National League leaders for home runs and right below him is Colorado’s CJ Cron. They may struggle on the mound, but the Rockies are a top-10 lineup. Check out our full preview of Rockies vs Diamondbacks.
