Happy Tuesday, Pickswise Nation! We have a bunch of sports action to get excited for, including in the NBA playoffs, MLB, NHL and Champions League soccer. Let’s get right into making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Celtics eliminate Nets, Raptors extend series
The Celtics officially swept the Nets last night with a 116-112 victory in Brooklyn. Kevin Durant put up 39 points and played 47 minutes, but it wasn’t enough. Meanwhile, the Raptors earned a big 103-88 victory over the 76ers to reduce the series to a 3-2 deficit, with the teams now heading back to Toronto. It was a great night for Pickswise, as we went 5-1 with our picks and are now 7-0 on totals the past 2 nights!

Top MLB teams win again
The Dodgers, Mets and Blue Jays were the leading contenders for the World Series before the season started, and none of those teams has blinked yet. All recorded solid wins last night and are top of their respective divisions. Our props expert JutPicks nailed his pick of Kyle Gibson under 5.5 Ks and we are now 5-2 on props picks since last Thursday.

Today’s Slate

Hawks fighting to extend Heat series
We have three more NBA Playoffs first-round matchups tonight with the Hawks looking to keep their championship hopes alive as they head to Miami down 3-1. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves-Grizzlies and Pelicans-Suns series are tied at 2-2; all of those teams will be fighting to gain the upper hand. You can catch those games on TNT. Check out our NBA picks for today’s games.

Mega MLB slate
Following a relatively quiet day yesterday, there is a hefty 15-game MLB slate today with the standout game being between the Mets and Cardinals, which you can catch at 7:45 pm ET on TBS. Read today’s MLB game previews.

Plenty of ice action to enjoy
There was only one game yesterday, so hockey fans will be excited to see that we have a 13-game slate tonight as we get closer to the postseason. See today’s NHL picks.

Champions League semifinals get started
Only 4 teams remain on the Champions League and 2 of soccer’s biggest franchises lock horns as Real Madrid battles Manchester City at the Etihad at 8:00 pm local. Read our preview of that huge matchup.

Best Bet of the Day

Los Angeles Dodgers ML over Arizona Diamondbacks
10:00 pm ET, TNT

The Diamondbacks come into Tuesday’s game doing exactly what most people thought they would do this season; struggling. Heading into Monday’s game, Arizona was 6-10 on the season after most recently losing 2 out of 3 games to the Mets this past weekend. The snakes will have Zach Davies on the hill and there is absolutely nothing about him that says he is going to have success against a loaded Dodgers lineup. From top to bottom, the Dodgers are one of the best offenses and with a pitcher who has shut down every team he has faced in Tony Gonsolin, expect them to cruise to an easy win. Read our full game preview for Dodgers vs Diamondbacks.

Must-watch

Stat of the Day

The Hurricanes and Rangers rank 1st and 2nd in goals against per game, respectively, in the NHL this season. They play each other at Madison Square Garden tonight.

Boost of the Day
