About Last Night

Monday was a fun day for the Pickswise Nation
There’s nothing like starting the week ahead of the books and the Pickswise MLB handicappers are already in front for the week after going 6-4 on the sides and 7-3 on the totals on Monday’s 10-game slate. Not only that, but our Monday best bet of the Reds -1.5 against the Cubs also cashed as Cincinnati won by a huge 14-5 scoreline. Reds veteran Joey Votto registered his 2,000th career hit as the Cubs slumped to their 12th straight loss. Check out today’s MLB best bets here.

Braves take advantage
The Atlanta Braves made the most of Philadelphia’s off day in the NL East to move 1.5 games ahead with a thumping 12-2 victory over Miami. Atlanta is -105 with FanDuel Sportsbook to win the division, with the Phillies at +165. AL West pacesetter Houston lost its second straight game, going down 7-6 to the underdog Kansas City in an upset. The A’s are 2.5 games back and +390 to overhaul the -650 Astros.

Today’s Slate

Sweet 16 games on the schedule
After Monday’s reduced slate, business is booming today with 16 MLB games–including a day-night doubleheader between the Red Sox and Yankees. Make sure you read our predictions for all of those games.

MLS back in action
The midweek MLS card also starts with two games tonight, including a 4th vs 3rd clash in the Western Conference as Colorado faces LA Galaxy. Check out all the midweek soccer picks here.

Best Bet of the Day

Brewers ML vs Cardinals
7:45pm ET

The Brewers have a better record on the road (40-20) than at home (32-27) this season and they can score another away success at St. Louis. Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes gave up just 4 hits over 8.0 innings against the Cubs on his last start, striking out a season-high 15 and walking none. He is a perfect 4-0 on the road this season with an ERA of 2.06. Make sure you check out our full game preview for this matchup.

Stat of the Day

The Washington Nationals are just 2-12 in August after losing 7 straight games and their troubles look set to continue in a 2-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Boost of the day

Toronto Blue Jays and Cincinnati Reds both to win
Boosted to +200 with FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel Sportsbook is offering a nice boost on this two-team MLB parlay with the odds hiked from +137 to +200 for the Blue Jays to beat the Nationals and the Reds to inflict a 13th successive loss on the Cubs.
