Since graduating from Davidson (The College That Stephen Curry Built), I have been writing about sports -- just about any and all you can think of! -- and coaching tennis in Atlanta, GA. Beyond the four major sports, I am an avid tennis fan and cover the ATP Tour on a daily basis. A three-day NFL playoffs extravaganza has come and gone, so we have 4 days off before the gridiron action resumes with the Divisional Round on Saturday. That’s not to say we are lacking in betting opportunities on Tuesday. There is plenty to work with in the NBA, NHL, college basketball, and also tennis.

As such, let’s not waste any time and get right to making your next bet better with our latest installment of Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

Rams rout Cardinals – as predicted
Wild Card Weekend wrapped up with a first-ever Monday Night Football version of the postseason. Our plays of Rams -4 and Under 49.5 were both winners in LA’s 34-11 victory over Arizona. We also cashed a 3-star bet on Cooper Kupp scoring a touchdown at -138!

Solid day at the college basketball office
The Pickswise NCAAB handicappers went 3-0-1 ATS and 3-1 O/U on Tuesday. We also cashed our best bet with Arizona State vs Utah staying under 138 points.

Lakers leap over Jazz
A 12-game NBA slate on MLK Day wrapped up with the Lakers’ 101-95 defeat of the Jazz, which was highlighted by a Russell Westbrook posterization of Rudy Gobert. We loved to see it, as we were on the Lakers +4.5.

Today’s Slate

Doubleheader on NBA TV
There are only two NBA games on Tuesday and both will be televised by NBA TV. After the Timberwolves and Knicks tip things off in New York at 7:30pm ET, the Warriors will host the Pistons at 10pm ET. Head over to our NBA picks page to see all of our previews and predictions.

January Madness
College basketball is heating up in a big way this month. It continues on Tuesday, when almost half of the top 25 is lacing ‘em up (12 ranked teams, to be exact). An all-top 25 showdown between Iowa State and Texas Tech is among the marquee matchups along with Duke vs Florida State. Check out all of our CBB picks.

Hurricanes-Bruins headlines sizable NHL schedule
An 8-game NHL lineup begins with an intriguing showdown between the Hurricanes (25-8-2) and Bruins (22-11-2). Nashville, Florida, Tampa Bay, and Los Angeles are among the other teams in action. Be sure to read all of our NHL previews and picks.

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAB: Kansas Jayhawks -4 over Oklahoma Sooners
7pm ET, ESPN

Kansas bounced back from a couple of subpar performances by beating West Virginia with ease this past weekend. The Jayhawks were without guard Remy Martin and he is still questionable for Tuesday’s date with Oklahoma, but if Jalen Wilson has found his game then KU has more than enough offense both inside and out. Wilson scored 23 points against the Mountaineers and has 20+ in 2 of his last 3 games. Oklahoma has lost back-to-back contests – both on the road. Read our full game preview for Kansas vs Oklahoma.
