Magnificent Monday of MLB picks!
We were made to wait for our baseball yesterday with no afternoon action, but the Pickswise picks made the delay worthwhile. Our handicappers went an awesome 8-1 on ML and RL plays on the 9-game slate, and 6-2-1 on the total over/under predictions, giving us a 14-3-1 day overall. We’ll take that every time!

The Dodgers were surprisingly the only team to let us down as they lost 4-0 to the Rockies, with Chad Kuhl pitching a 3-hit shutout. The Angels beat the White Sox 4-3 as 9 players and coaches started suspensions for Sunday’s brawl with the Mariners.

MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates ML vs Washington Nationals

Nationals starter Patrick Corbin is easy to fade. A 6.60 ERA and a 6.45 xERA are absurdly poor, and his batted-ball profile paints an even worse picture. Corbin ranks among the bottom 11% of qualified pitchers in average exit velocity allowed, xBA, xSLG, xwOBA, xERA and barrel rate. Pittsburgh’s Jose Quintana has overperformed his metrics this season, pitching to a 3.60 ERA despite a 4.63 xERA but that’s nothing compared to how awful Quintana has been.
