The first NFL Sunday slate is jam-packed with elite matchups, including all but two games within a touchdown spread. The primetime games will be a hit, but let's focus on the 1:00 PM ET and 4:25 PM ET. slates, as loads of value is on the board.

Best NFL Week 1 Player Prop Bet: Omarion Hampton (LAC) over 65.5 rushing yards in Cardinals vs Chargers (-114)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to 70.5

Let's jump right to the 4:25 PM ET window, as I'm identifying Omarion Hampton as one of the best plays for Week 1. The Los Angeles Chargers return two of the best tackles in football, Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater, after season-ending injuries last year. Justin Herbert is eyeing the first playoff win of his career, as he has elite playmaking around him, particularly in 2nd-year running back Omarion Hampton. Like most of the Chargers' offensive line last season, Hampton dealt with injuries in his rookie season. He played just nine games, while Kimani Vidal stepped up in his place.

Focusing on Sunday, Hampton and the Chargers arrive as 10-point favorites against a woeful Arizona Cardinals team that will likely be contending for the #1 overall pick in the upcoming 2027 NFL Draft. The game script should favor Hampton and the run game, as the Chargers have an implied team total of 28.5 points - the most of any team for Week 1.

NFL Week 1 Player Prop Bet: Chris Godwin (TB) over 40.5 receiving yards in Buccaneers vs Bengals (-111)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to 42.5.

It's been a tough stretch for Chris Godwin over the last year and a half. He's played in just 16 games over the last two seasons, which included a gruesome leg injury on Monday Night Football two years ago. But now with long-time teammate Mike Evans in San Francisco, Baker Mayfield may be looking at Godwin early and often in Week 1 against the Bengals - a game that features a total of 50.5 points, which is the most of any game for Week 1.

Second-year pro Emeka Egbuka likely steps into the #1 role for the Buccaneers on the outside, but he faded after a surgical start to his rookie campaign that featured hamstring injuries. Heading into Week 1, Egbuka is dealing with a toe injury, though he'll be ready to go. Nonetheless, I expect Godwin to be a focal point of a Buccaneers offense that features a healthy Baker Mayfield throwing him the football.

NFL Week 1 Player Prop Pick: Chase Brown (CIN) over 85.5 rushing+receiving yards in Bucs vs Bengals (-115)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to 90.5.

Let's go right back to Bucs-Bengals for our final NFL Week 1 player prop bet. Chase Brown is one of the most versatile running backs in all of football. His 69 receptions were the fifth-most among running backs last season, and he was one of Joe Burrow's favorite targets when the two were in the backfield together. Burrow played just eight games last season, but the final stretch included Brown and Burrow connecting on 27 passes in the final six games. Brown was also a force in the run game. He averaged 14.5 carries over his last six games, averaging 65.5 yards. Add in his playmaking in the passing game, and Brown is primed to break out to start his campaign.
