Panthers vs Packers Same Game Parlay: Best SGP Picks
Week 8 of the NFL season kicks off with Thursday Night Football between the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. It is a tale of two teams trending in opposite directions. Carolina (3-3) leads the NFC South because the division is so bad, but it is coming off a disastrous loss to Tampa Bay last weekend. Green Bay (4-3) has rebounded from a slow start to win three of its last four games.
I have been red hot with my Same Game Parlays in recent weeks. Let's keep the momentum going with my SGP for Monday’s primetime festivities, which get underway at 8:15 pm ET on Amazon Prime. Also be sure to check out our full Panthers vs Packers predictions.
Packers -3.5 (-112)
Josh Jacobs Over 58.5 rushing yards (-111)
MarShawn Lloyd anytime touchdown scorer (+310)
Parlay odds: +850
Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Green Bay running backs Josh Jacobs and Marshawn Lloyd being productive would obviously work well with a win and cover by the Packers. Let’s break down each of the three legs.
Packers -3.5 (-112)
The Panthers are one of the eight division leaders in the NFL right now...but let’s not get carried away. They are atop the perennially bad NFC South with a 3-4 record and their performance last weekend was not becoming of a playoff team – not even close. Carolina got humiliated 43-13 at home by a previously 1-5 Bucs team, a game that was 33-6 by halftime. The visitors committed two turnovers in the first half alone and finished with a total of 104 passing yards. Bryce Young and company now have to face a Green Bay defense that ranks top 10 league wide against the pass, top 10 in yards per pass attempt allowed and #1 with nine interceptions. On the other side of the ball, the Panthers are giving up sixth-most points in the NFL at 27.7 per game. The Packers lost to the Lions last Sunday, but that was a three-point margin on the road against a very good team that was coming off a bye week. Head coach Matt LaFleur’s squad had previously defeated Tampa Bay, Chicago and Dallas in succession. This is an all-around tough spot for the visitors against an opponent that is playing its third home game in the span of four weeks. Green Bay is feeling good and should be able to continue riding the high in front of its own fans at the expense of a reeling Carolina outfit.
Josh Jacobs Over 58.5 rushing yards (-111)
The Panthers quite simply have the worst run defense in the NFL. They are dead last in rushing yards allowed (153.2 per game) and yards per carry allowed (5.2). Jacobs missed the first six weeks of the 2026 campaign due to suspension, but he has a game under his belt now and should only be getting better and better. The Alabama product amassed 91 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown against the Lions, so the bar is already pretty high. This is a fantastic opportunity for the Pack to get their ground game on track this season, and it starts with Jacobs.
MarShawn Lloyd anytime touchdown scorer (+310)
I’m going all in on the Packers’ ground game – which, admittedly, is not something you normally want to do. However, the Panthers’ run defense is just that bad. Moreover, a positive game script – which we need for the first leg of this parlay to cash – calls for Green Bay to build a lead and then work the clock by keeping the ball on the ground. When the home side hits the red zone, there is no reason why Lloyd can’t get involved. He has scored three touchdowns in the last three games, including one last week even after Jacobs was back from his absence. At long +300 odds, the USC product has great value to score yet again.
