We are just about midway through the NFL season when Thursday Night Football kicks off in Week 8 between the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers. Both NFC teams are still very much in the playoff hunt, but one has a much harder path than the other. Carolina sits atop the NFC South at 3-3 and a divisional title will guarantee them a playoff spot; while the Packers are 4-3 and dead last in the best division in football, the NFC North. Green Bay may see Micah Parsons are practice this week, but Week 9 is a more likely return.

Let's get into my best player prop picks for Thursday Night Football, and don't miss our full Panthers vs Packers prediction

Christian Watson (GB) 60+ receiving yards + anytime TD (+185)

Line available at Fanatics Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Matthew Golden was held out of practice this week with shoulder and foot injuries. It's a short week and I think the Packers lean on Watson heavily, even though he's struggled over the last four games. The Panthers defense is big on closing the middle of the field and the third-most Cover 3 looks in the league, combined with both starting CBs missing. I brought this line down to the median of 64 (60 in this case) and I like him for an explosive TD on Thursday, if not a red zone target in one of the trips we see. Keep this under one unit.

Bryce Young (CAR) 20+ Rushing Yards (+300)

Line available at Fanduel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

I'm taking a shot here on Bryce Young's his alt-line as I feel his rushing has been 'boom or bust' this season and hasn't come close to last season's figures. He hasn't come close to 20 this year, but the Packers are one of the leaders in the league on blitzing on late downs and this is where I see Young taking off and grabbing yards in big chunks. He was over this line in 5/16 last season and I think he surprises us on Thursday with his legs.
