Money Line Pick
COL Avalanche Win(-200)

This second round series between the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild will be shifting back to Colorado for Game 5 on Wednesday night. The Avalanche have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead with a win in Game 4, and will have a chance to close out the series. This has been a high-octane thrilling series where three of the four games thus far have gone over the game total. The Avalanche have really only played one bad game in the playoffs so far, which was Game 3 against the Wild. The veteran lineup of the Avalanche knows what it takes to get it done, and they will be looking to close it out on home ice as a trip back to Minnesota for Game 6 would mean anything could happen. All of the pressure is on the Wild right now and they do not want it shifting back onto them.

The Wild have been without Joel Eriksson Ek and Jonas Brodin this entire series, and these are two massive losses for their lineup. Eriksson Ek is a great two-way centerman that impacts the game in all aspects. Not having him has hurt them bad. Mackenzie Blackwood was solid in Game 4 and is projected to start Game 5. Look for him to have another sharp game as he will look to take the net over from Scott Wedgewood. I think the Avalanche will close this series out in Game 5. Take them on the money line.
