Men’s singles at the French Open was a crazy scene. Carlos Alcaraz did not play and Jannik Sinner lost in round 2, so it was a wide-open tournament right from the start. Will the story be the same at Wimbledon? Alcaraz is once again out, so we are once again just a Sinner loss away from complete chaos.

Of course, the top-ranked Italian is less likely to bow out early from Wimbledon. He is the defending champion and conditions in London will be much cooler than they were last month in Paris. That’s not to say that Sinner is totally immune to an early exit, however. He has not played since the French Open, so he has zero grass-court matches under his belt. Especially at a price that has him favored over the entire rest of the field, there is not any value on the #1 seed.

Where does the value lie? Let’s take a look at the Wimbledon outright odds and discuss some of the best bets to make.

Wimbledon tennis men’s singles odds

Odds available at Bet365 Sportsbook at time of publishing

Jannik Sinner -165

Novak Djokovic +500

Alexander Zverev +1200

Ben Shelton +1800

Taylor Fritz +2000

Jack Draper +3000

Jakub Mensik +3500

Matteo Berrettini +5000

Frances Tiafoe +5000

Alexander Bublik +5000

Daniil Medvedev +5000

Wimbledon tennis 3-star best bet: Alexander Zverev (+1200)

Zverev was the one who capitalized on all of the carnage at Roland Garros. There is no reason why he can’t win it all again at Wimbledon – although he will almost certainly need Sinner to get upset prior to the final. But that’s the good news: the 29-year-old German is the #2 seed, so he is on the other side of the draw from Sinner and cannot face the Italian until the championship match. Zverev has never fared particularly well at the All-England Club, but he has also never served better than he is right now. With his serve, there is no reason why the world #3 shouldn’t achieve success on grass.

Wimbledon tennis 2-star best bet: Ben Shelton (+1800)

The draw ceremony was held on Friday afternoon and it could not have produced a more favorable path for Shelton. Like Zverev, he is in the opposite half from Sinner and Novak Djokovic. The fifth-ranked American’s quarter of the bracket is not particularly difficult on paper, either. Shelton warmed up for Wimbledon with a title on the lawns of Stuttgart and a quarterfinal performance in Halle, so confidence has to be high. He also reached the quarters in SW19 last summer before falling to Sinner.

Wimbledon tennis 1-star best bet: Felix Auger-Aliassime (+8000)

Why not make at least one longshot play? As mentioned above, it’s pretty much anyone’s tournament – just like it was in Paris – if Sinner exits. Auger-Aliassime was among those who had a real chance of seizing the opportunity at Roland Garros. The fourth-ranked Canadian did well for a while but ended up losing to Flavio Cobolli in the quarterfinals. Although Auger-Aliassime's Wimbledon results have underwhelmed over the years, he should play well at this event. His big serve and generally powerful game can work well on fast surfaces, as it has for him on indoor hard courts so many times in the past.
