Wimbledon Best Bets, Picks & Predictions for Monday, July 6, 2026, inc. Taylor Fritz vs Alexander Bublik
4th-round action at Wimbledon wraps up on Monday, when the remaining spots in the quarterfinals will be handed out. Among those taking the court are Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Grigor Dimitrov, Flavio Cobolli, Madison Keys and Alexandra Eala. Let's take a look at the Wimbledon best bets to be made on Day 8 at the All-England Club on Monday, July 6.
Wimbledon best bet: Flavio Cobolli +1.5 sets over Alex de Minaur (+134)
Cobolli made a recent run to the Roland Garros championship match and has already proven that he can achieve success on grass, too. The world #10 advanced to the Wimbledon quarterfinals last summer and now finds himself back in round 4. The pressure is on Alex De Minaur, who has never reached a major semifinal but has a golden chance to do so at this event as the highest seed remaining in his section (#4 Ben Shelton lost in round 1).
The Aussie is not exactly in poor form, but he lost convincingly to Jakub Mensik in the French Open 3rd round, lost to Kamil Majchrzak in the ‘s-Hertogenbosch title match and lost to Brandon Nakashima 7-5, 6-3 in the Queen’s Club quarters. Cobolli brings far more offensive weapons to the table - so if his serve and forehand are working (as they have been on a consistent basis over the past few months), the Italian should even win this outright.
Wimbledon prediction: Taylor Fritz -2.5 games over Alexander Bublik (-122)
The head-to-head series is tied 4-4, but that doesn’t tell the real story. Fritz is 2-0 on grass, with both victories coming in a current stretch during which the world #7 is 4-1 in his last 5 overall against Alexander Bublik. 3 of Fritz's 4 wins have been straight-set routs, including 6-3, 6-2 on the grass of Eastbourne in 2022 and 6-4, 6-4 a few weeks ago on the lawns of Stuttgart. The American has mostly cruised so far at Wimbledon aside from a relatively tight 4-set match against Lorenzo Sonego, whereas Bublik has already battled through 2 five-setters -- including a 4-hour and 8-minute struggle against Frances Tiafoe in the 3rd round. Bublik has never reached the quarterfinals at the All-England Club, whereas Fritz is bidding for his 4th quarterfinal in the span of 5 trips to this event.
Wimbledon pick: Alexandra Eala ML over Jasmine Paolini (-162)
The only minor concern for Eala is that she is coming off a massive win over Iga Swiatek on Saturday. It's never easy for anyone to follow up such a huge result in the very next round, but Eala already has a history of doing it successfully. Last spring in Miami, the Philippines’ left-hander followed up a victory over Madison Keys by defeating Swiatek in the quarterfinals and then played a good match against Jessica Pegula but lost in a close 3-setter. Earlier this summer in Berlin, Eala ousted world #2 Elena Rybakina and then got right back in gear to beat world #8 Elina Svitolina in the next round.
As for Jasmine Paolini, she was a disappointing 3-6 in her last 9 matches prior to arriving in London. The 30-year-old Italian lost her only previous matchup with Eala 6-1, 7-6(5) earlier this season in Dubai.
