Wimbledon Best Bets, Picks & Predictions for Tuesday, July 7, 2026, inc. Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Novak Djokovic
We are into the business end of Wimbledon, with quarterfinal spots continuing to be handed out on Tuesday, July 7. Among those on the order of play are Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and Naomi Osaka. I am 5-1 on my picks over the past 2 days and 17-7 for Wimbledon as a whole, so let’s keep the momentum going! Here are my Wimbledon best bets for Day 9 at the All-England Club today.
Wimbledon best bet: Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Novak Djokovic Over 40.5 games (-110)
Djokovic is still going strong -- relatively speaking -- at 39 years old, but he isn't dominant by any means. He has won just a single match in straight sets so far at Wimbledon, and that was over a struggling Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Serb even required a 4th-set tiebreaker to beat Arthur Rinderknech on Friday.
Felix Auger-Aliassime is also no stranger to lengthy matches. The 3rd seed is coming off a 5-setter against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the 4th round, and all 3 of his matches in Halle last month went to a deciding set – including 2 final-set tiebreakers. It should also be noted that Auger-Aliassime has played 5 tiebreakers in his last 3 matches. Djokovic has played 3 'breakers in his last 2 matches. As long as this one isn't a straight-set result, it should surpass the 40.5 number.
Wimbledon prediction: Naomi Osaka ML over Karolina Muchova (-125)
Osaka had previously advanced to the quarters of a slam 5 times in her career. She eventually won the entire tournament on 4 of those 5 occasions. The bottom line is that when Osaka makes it this far, she almost always goes all the way. As such, it makes some sense that the 28-year-old from Japan is now the overall favorite to win Wimbledon. For that reason and more, Osaka should really be a bigger favorite against Karolina Muchova. The world No. 14 was especially impressive in her straight-set win over world #1 Aryna Sabalenka in the 4th round.
Muchova, on the other hand, is coming off a very tough 3-setter against Barbora Krejcikova. The 29-year-old Czech has lost 2 of her last 3 matchups against Osaka, and her lone win during this stretch has come via a retirement.
Wimbledon pick: Jessica Pegula -1.5 games over Coco Gauff (-120)
This is Jessica Pegula’s 2nd Wimbledon quarterfinal appearance. She has also captured 2 WTA 500 titles on grass in addition to a runner-up showing on the lawns of Berlin a few weeks ago. Case in point: the American is a proven winner on grass. She is up to her usual tricks on this surface with the loss of just 1 set (to Iva Jovic in round 4) so far at the All-England Club.
Gauff, by contrast, has played back-to-back-to-back 3-setters. She even required a 3rd-set tiebreaker against Solana Sierra in the 2nd round. The 22-year-old also isn't as accomplished on grass as her fellow American. This is Gauff’s first appearance in the quarters of Wimbledon, and she has never reached a grass-court final at any event. Moreover, Pegula leads their head-to-head series 5-3 and has won 4 of their last 6 matchups, including their most recent grass-court encounters in straight sets (Berlin 2024).
