Second-round action at Wimbledon begins on Wednesday, July 1, when Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff are among those taking the court. Djokovic has a surprisingly early-tournament matchup with Stefanos Tsitsipas on his hands. But with neither player reliable right now, we will look elsewhere for betting value. Let's take a look at the Wimbledon best bets to be made on Day 3 on Wednesday, July 1.

Wimbledon Parlay: Learner Tien ML over Marton Fucsovics and Mirra Andreeva ML over Barbora Krejcikova (-103)

Both Learner Tien and Mirra Andreeva were winners on the -1.5 sets line for me in round 1, so I’m going right back to the well. Even though the competition is starting to get tougher, both players should be well-positioned to advance. Tien has been playing great basically this whole year, and possesses a game that should work well on grass – even if he does not have much experience on it. Marton Fucsovics was 1-7 in his last 8 matches before getting a retirement from Luca Van Assche in the first round.

Barbora Krejcikova lifted the Wimbledon trophy in 2024, but that version of Krejcikova ain't walkin' through that door. The 30-year-old Czech is down at #38 in the world, which is why she is unseeded and runs into Andreeva in round 2. The 19-year-old Russian just won her first major title at the French Open, and it would be no surprise if momentum continues in London – where she advanced to the 4th round as a 16-year-old in 2023 and to the quarterfinals last summer.

Wimbledon best bet: Ethan Quinn vs Shintaro Mochizuki Over 37.5 games (-118)

This projects as an awesome matchup between 2 rising stars who look quite capable on grass. Shintaro Mochizuki is a former Wimbledon junior champion (2019), plus he is 24-16 lifetime on the green stuff. The 23-year-old from Japan has won 17 matches on it over the past 2 seasons alone. As for Ethan Quinn, he is coming off a runner-up showing in Mallorca last week and erased Luciano Darderi in straight sets in his opening match at the All-England Club. This will be an intriguing stylistic matchup between Quinn's power and Mochizuki's defense, and it's one that should last for quite a long time.

Wimbledon prediction: Jenson Brooksby ML over Ignacio Buse (-138)

Jenson Brooksby is 17-13 all time on grass with 2 ATP final appearances on this surface. The 25-year-old American trounced Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets on Monday, and he should be poised to take advantage of an opponent who would much rather contest this particular matchup on clay – as Ignacio Buse does almost any matchup. The 22-year-old Peruvian has played just 6 grass-court matches in his entire career. He has won 3 this summer, but all 3 have come against players ranked outside the top 80. Of Buse's 169 professional match wins, 142 have come on clay. I’m expecting Brooksby to hand out a free grass-court lesson on Wednesday.
