The Milwaukee Brewers head east to face the Baltimore Orioles this weekend. The Orioles were off Thursday after taking 3 games from the Mets behind the power bat of Pete Alonso. It was a painful week for the Mets, to be sure. The Brewers dropped a game Thursday to the Pirates, one in which they sort of conceded the pitching part of the game from the jump. The key arms should be rested on Friday though, which will help. The Brewers are still plenty motivated too, as they are trying to lock up the top seed in the NL and home field advantage. I like that motivation angle, and I am taking the Brewers on the Money Line.
Dustin May will take the ball for the Brew Crew. You really just don’t know what to expect from him. He has had good outings, bad outings, short outings, and even shorter outings, but he usually somehow gives his team a chance. The Orioles are recalling Cade Povich to take the spot of the injured Kyle Bradish. Povich has pitched very little for the Big League club this season, and he is thus a hard guy to trust against an offense like Milwaukee’s. I will take the Milwaukee bats and a team motivated to keep winning.
