The 2026 Major League Baseball season continues with another loaded slate of games on Tuesday. The massive 15-game card includes a couple of anticipated showdowns, including a showdown between the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres at 9:40 pm ET. The action gets underway at 4:10 pm ET with a matchup involving the Astros and Blue Jays.
Let's break down my MLB best bets for Tuesday, June 23, while you can also find out our expert MLB picks for EVERY GAME today and throughout the entire 2026 campaign!
MLB best bet: Baltimore Orioles team total Over 4.5 vs Los Angeles Angels (-110)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -125.
Niether of these teams is setting the world on fire from a pitching perspective, but it's especially glaring for an Angels team that is one of the worst in baseball. Los Angeles has struggled mightily on the mound in recent weeks, and that should continue against a Baltimore lineup that is a top 10 unit across the league, averaging nearly 5 runs per game on the season. While the Orioles pitching has also been a significant issue, part of the reason why I'm choosing to target their team total in this matchup is they'll have the chance to face Angels right-hander Ryan Johnson — who holds a whopping 12.82 ERA and has surrendered 5 or more runs in 3 of his 4 outings of at least 2.0 innings pitched. Once Johnson leaves the game, the Angels rank 25th in bullpen ERA and have consistently struggled regardless of opponent. Baltimore has exceeded this number in 4 of its last 6 games, so let's go back to the well with the road team in this matchup.

MLB best bet: San Francisco Giants ML over Athletics (-135)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to +110.
Much like the previous game, both of these teams are not likely to make the postseason, but there is some value on the home favorite in this battle between former Northern California rivals. San Francisco quietly has a top-10 lineup when it comes to OPS and SLG, which is certainly attractive against a struggling Athletics pitching staff and a bullpen that ranks 28th in ERA (5.02). The Giants should be able to provide some support for Robbie Ray, a pitcher that has been poor away from home this season but has been much better at home (3.55 ERA) to this point. Look for Ray to remain solid at Oracle Park, while the San Francisco lineup finds a way to get to Athletics starter Aaron Civale (4.91 ERA) and a struggling A's bullpen. I'll back the short favorite in this one.
