Arizona Diamondbacks vs Texas Rangers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 05/11/26

The Arizona Diamondbacks head to Arlington on Monday to begin a series with the Texas Rangers. Both teams had an outstanding weekend. The Rangers blanked the red-hot Cubs in consecutive games, while the Rangers beat the Mets twice, allowing only a single run each game. Both teams have to feel good about where they are right now, and both send a veteran arm to the mound on Monday. It will be Michael Soroka for the Snakes and Nathan Eovaldi for the Rangers. I have this game very even, so I am happy to take the plus-money underdogs and back the DBacks on the money line.

Soroka has found a career resurgence in Arizona. He had one bad start recently, but he has otherwise been a bright spot in this rotation. Soroka has even discovered some strikeout stuff that has helped him a ton. Eovaldi has posted 2 excellent starts in a row, but prior to that he had been very hit or miss all season. Maybe he figured something out, or maybe he is due for some regression. Right now, I feel better about Soroka — and I like the Snakes to grab an early lead. They need to, because the Rangers boast the #1 bullpen in baseball and are the only mop-up unit sporting a sub-3.00 ERA. Still, I’ll take my chances with Arizona to open the series.
