The Houston Astros have had quite the disappointing start to the 2026 season relative to the standards the organization has set in recent years. They’ve lost four straight, looking to end that streak on the road facing Slade Cecconi (5.03 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) and the Cleveland Guardians. The Astros’ offense has been far from impressive, ranking bottom-10 in MLB over the last two weeks in wRC+ and wOBA. They’ve been better against right-handed pitchers like Cecconi, but half the time the work done from the offense is erased by the mistakes of the bullpen.

Houston’s bullpen holds a 5.88 combined ERA, the second-worst mark in baseball. Spencer Arrighetti (1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) has allowed only 1 ER in one start this season, though he posted a 4.18 xERA throughout that appearance. Cleveland hasn’t exactly been world beaters offensively either, but the Astros are on fade watch until further notice due to recent woes, and I’ll take the Guardians to pull out a win at a decent price on the money line.
