It’s getaway day in Cleveland as the Houston Astros face the Cleveland Guardians. We have an afternoon start, and it looks like a great day for baseball. These teams have split the first two games in the series, each game with double digits in runs scored. The Astros, in particular, continue to be the 4^th highest scoring team in baseball while also having the worst team ERA. That means they end up in high-scoring slugfests constantly. I’ll take that bet on Wednesday afternoon, and that means the game total over 8 runs.

There is nothing about the pitching matchup that would scare us off. The Astros will throw Peter Lambert. He will be making his second start for Houston after spending several years with the Rockies. He’s not very good, and he is in the rotation because the Houston staff has been decimated by injuries. The Guards will throw Tanner Bibee, who is a good pitcher in his own right, but has a tough assignment with these Houston hitters. Several have seen him a bunch of times and had success, and just slowing down this offense in general is tough. I don’t see any reason we wouldn’t score a bunch of runs in this game too.
