Blue Jays vs Braves Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
ATL Braves Win(-130)

The Toronto Blue Jays make their way to Atlanta to open a 3-game series against the Braves as they look to start the month of June on a high note. The Blue Jays will hand the ball to Kevin Gausman who enters with a 4-3 record and a 3.13 ERA. Gausman has been even more impressive in his last three starts, going 2-0 with a 1.02 ERA. Despite being dominant on the mound, Gausman will need to be careful pitching to this Braves lineup that is second in the league with 5.3 runs per game this season and a .761 OPS. He’ll also need to be extremely careful pitching to Ronald Acuna, who has hit five home runs and 12 RBIs in his last 12 games.

For the Braves, they’ll counter with Bryce Elder who enters with a 4-3 record and a 2.50 ERA. Elder will look to bounce back from his worst start of the season where he gave up five runs on nine hits in 3.1 innings pitched against the Red Sox. In their last 10 games, Toronto is averaging 4.2 runs per game while the Braves average 4.9 runs per game. Both starting pitchers have been terrific this season, and even though Gausman has been the stronger pitcher as of late, I like the Braves in this spot. Atlanta has been the more consistent team all season and the Blue Jays are 12-18 on the road this year while the Braves are 17-10 at home.

Blue Jays vs Braves prediction: Braves ML (-130) at the time of publishing. Playable to -145.
