Nationals vs Reds Pickswise Expert Predictions

Game Totals Pick
Under 8.0(+100)

The Washington Nationals face the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday in an afternoon game to cap off a series. The Nationals have won the first two games, including Wednesday’s 10-inning affair. Daylen Lile in particular has enjoyed his time in the Queen City, belting 3 home runs in 2 games in Great American. It is a good hitting day in a hitter-friendly park, but I am going to play the under on Thursday.

I like the pitchers. Chase Burns is a strikeout machine, and Foster Griffin has been a jewel for Washington. Both guys have ERAs in the low 2s, and they should have the advantage over the bats. The Reds have been among the lowest scoring teams all season, and while the Nats are surprisingly the #2 scoring team in the league (yeah, that’s actually true), they will likely struggle against the power stuff of Burns. I have my concerns about both bullpens, but day games after night games also tend to be lower scoring anyway, and we sometimes get some wonky lineups. I’ll trust the pitchers in this one and play the game total under 8.

Nationals vs Reds Prediction: Under 8 (+100) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
