Washington Nationals vs Miami Marlins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 05/10/26

The Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins finish a series on Sunday afternoon. These teams have split a pair of 1-run games so far, with Saturday’s game featuring lots of late-inning scoring. As we head to Sunday’s tilt, the Marlins will throw veteran ace Sandy Alcantara, while the Nats will turn to the one-time prospect Cade Cavalli. At first glance, this seems like a lopsided pitching matchup, but it may not be as lopsided as you would think. Still, I prefer the Marlins in this game, and I will take them on the Money Line.

Alcantara has shown flashes of his Cy Young form, but he has also had a couple of ugly starts. He is not as unhittable as he used to be. Cavalli, on the other hand, is probably better than you think, and he has consistently turned in strong starts for the Nats. I think the difference in this game might be the bullpens though. The Washington bullpen is still a regular concern for me, as they are a bottom-5 unit in the league in terms of ERA. The Marlins rank in the top third of the league and are much more effective in the late innings. I’ll take that reliability. Give me the Fish.
