Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. On the year, I’ve recorded 69 wins and 56 losses for a gain of +9.43 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Saturday.

MacKenzie Gore (SDP) under 2.5 earned runs (-140)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

MacKenzie Gore is off to a spectacular start to his career. His ERA is 1.71 ERA through 8 starts and he’s gone under this line in 7 of those. Gore gets a gift of a matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers, who have struggled all season long to produce hits against left-handed pitching.

Let’s dive into this matchup for Gore. Milwaukee is hitting a league-low .207 against left-handed pitching in the past month and bottom 3 in all of 2022. Teammate Sean Manaea cruised through this Brewers lineup on Thursday, going 6 innings and allowing just 1 run.

The advantage in this matchup goes to Gore. It’ll be the first time these Brewers hitters are seeing the NL Rookie of the Year betting favorite and 3 earned runs is a tough task for this offense against lefties.
