Playoff positioning in both conferences is at stake on Sunday as we get another 9-game NBA slate. The early tipoff sees the Clippers battle the Bucks at 3:30 pm ET on NBA TV. Later on in the evening, we have an NBC double-header starting at 7:30 pm ET between the Knicks and Thunder, followed by the Warriors and Nuggets at 10:00 pm ET.
My NBA Best Bets for all 9 games are available below, and odds are courtesy of FanDuel. Find all of our NBA picks for Sunday’s slate on the website, but now let’s dive into my selections!
Clippers vs Bucks Best Bet: Clippers -14 (-110)
Milwaukee’s last 4 losses were by 32, 33, 31 and 32 points. They’re playing in a back-to-back scenario against a Clippers team that’s won 4 straight and is almost at full strength. Go with the road team.
Heat vs Pacers Best Bet: Over 245.5 (-110)
Miami ranks 1st in pace with 106.3 possessions per game; the Pacers are ninth with 103.3 per game. The last 10 meetings are averaging 243.8 points per game and the over has cashed 9 times.
Wizards vs Trail Blazers Best Bet: Scoot Henderson 2+ Made Threes (-192)
The Wizards might just be the ideal opponent for Henderson to get something going on the scoring front. He has cleared this line in 6 of 10 games coming into this one, while on the season, he’s done it in 70% of home games.
Celtics vs Hornets Best Bet: Celtics -1 (-108)
Charlotte is playing with no rest after a tough home loss to Philly. The Celtics still haven’t secured the #2 seed, so the sense of urgency will be high for them to win. Revenge will also be on their minds after that nasty loss to Charlotte earlier this month.
Kings vs Nets Best Bet: DeMar DeRozan Over 4.5 assists (-114)
DeRozan will be the most experienced player on the court in Sunday’s game. He’s cleared this line in 7 of 10 games and in 2 of the last 3 meetings with the Kings. His last 10 games have seen him average 5.8 assists per game, and with Westbrook out of the lineup, the ball is spending a lot more time in his hands than before.
Magic vs Raptors Best Bet: Raptors -2.5 (-112)
A lot is at stake in this game, which should bring the best out of both teams. I just trust the Raptors more. The Magic have been very unreliable as of late, and they have these black holes in their game far too often. The last 11 of 14 meetings in Toronto went the Raptors’ way, as well.
Rockets vs Pelicans Best Bet: Jabari Smith 2+ made threes (-196)
Smith has drained a pair of threes in 8 of 10 games and in 14 of his last 20. New Orleans allows the eighth-most threes to opposing PFs and the 4th-most threes overall as a team.
Knicks vs Thunder Best Bet: Knicks +8.5 (-112)
KAT’s recent play on offense has been very encouraging. If he can get going early, the Knicks will be a in a good position. These teams were separated by just 3 points the last time they met, so I don’t think the difference in quality is bigger than 9 points. Knicks to cover.
Warriors vs Nuggets Best Bet: Christian Braun Over 10.5 points (-125)
Braun is averaging 13.3 points per game in the month of March so far, making it his most productive month of the season. Getting him going in these final 10 games or so of the regular season is a priority. The Nuggets are tough to beat when he’s at the top of his game offensively.
