The 2nd week of the NBA season is coming to an end today, but before that happens, we get another 8-game slate coming our way. Since Thursday we are 5-3 on our NBA player prop bets, and we are hoping to improve on that record with today’s games!

As always, be sure to check our NBA Predictions for picks on the side and total on each of the 8 games being played tonight. But for now, let’s dive into some props.

Bojan Bogdanovic 3+ made threes vs Warriors (-230)

The acquisition of Bojan Bogdanovic during the offseason has gone under the radar a bit, but the small-forward from Croatia is making sure his play doesn’t go unnoticed this season. He’s currently the leader in points per game for the Pistons, scoring 23 a night, but what’s even more impressive is his efficiency. He’s connecting on 51% of shots from the field, 51% of his threes and over 92% of his free-throw attempts. His numbers from three are even more impressive in home games, where he is scoring 5 a game on better than 53.6% of makes.

Those types of numbers are nothing new though — Bogey has been doing it for years as a member of the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz. He’s had some really good games against the defending champions over the years scoring 20 or more in 4 of the last 5 meetings. During that stretch, he is averaging 2.8 makes from three on 35% shooting. With Golden State ranking just 16th in opponent threes per game this season, I’m fairly confident Bogdanovic can get to 3 threes here.

Donovan Mitchell over 27.5 points vs Knicks (-122)

Donovan Mitchell has been an absolute stud since arriving at the Cavaliers this offseason. He is coming off his best performance yet for his new team after dropping 41 points in the OT win at Boston. The Cavaliers are now third in the East with a 4-1 record and Mitchell has to take the most credit for the success they’ve had so far. Tonight, he goes up against a team that was heavily invested in trading for him during the offseason, but after failing to reach a deal with the Utah Jazz they opted to give R.J. Barrett a big contract extension instead.

Mitchell is averaging 31 points a night this season on almost 48% shooting from the field and 40% from three-point range, both of which are career highs. In his last two games against the Knicks, he had 32 and 36 points shooting 50% or better in both games. After the big performance against the Celtics, I am once again expecting him to carry the scoring load for the Cavs here.

Nikola Jokic over 37.5 points + rebounds vs LA Lakers (-111)

The 2-time MVP just loves playing against Anthony Davis and the Lakers. In the Nuggets’ win earlier this week against the Lakers, he was just 1 assist shy of another triple-double with 31 points, 13 boards and 9 dimes in just 35 minutes of play. It was the 3rd time in 4 games against the Lakers that he went over 30 points, and with the way they’ve been playing so far this season, he is in line for another huge output tonight.

He’s recorded at least 38 points + rebounds in 4 of the last 5 meetings and although the Lakers have been decent defensively, their rebounding is an absolute disaster. Opponents are grabbing 62.4 boards per game against them, which is the 2nd-worst mark in the entire NBA. Jokic should take full advantage of the lack of size the Lakers have up front, especially with Anthony Davis not being at 100% with a back issue.
