With only one game on Monday’s card, there were no real prop bets to make. We are back for Tuesday’s slate that includes a 14-game schedule. Among the teams playing tonight are the Winnipeg Jets, Los Angeles Kings, and. Dallas Stars. Here we are going to focus on the player props and will be looking for guys to step up for their teams. Make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game, as well.

Blake Wheeler Over 1 Point (+128)

The Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets will meet again on Tuesday night and it is sure to be another exciting game. The Oilers won the other night at literally the last possible second, scoring with 0.1 showing on the clock. Both sides had plenty of contributors, but other than a few of the superstars in this matchup, we are going to look at Blake Wheeler. Now Wheeler scored in this game, his third goal of the season. He also has a total of five assists on the year, giving him eight points in total. Even though he only had one point against the Oilers the other day, he is more than capable of matching that or exceeding that here. The game prior to Edmonton, he had three assists, so because he can do just about everything, we will look for his over point prop to cash.

Anze Kopitar Over 0.5 Assists (-118)

The Los Angeles Kings are basically the definition of mediocre this season. They are 2-2-2 and will play the Minnesota Wild for the third time this season on Tuesday night. The Kings lost both their games to Minnesota to start the year and both losses came in overtime. Despite being average at best, the Kings still have one clear cut guy who stands out. That being Anze Kopitar. He already has nine assists on the season, which is easily the most in the NHL. He also has one goal scored to give him a total of 10 points, tied for the NHL lead. In two games against Minnesota, Kopitar has two assists. He also have grabbed at least one assist in five of six games this season. Usually, we would look to a point prop to give us a better chance, but Kopitar does not score often enough to justify what the price would be. Because of that, backing him to grab another assist would be our play.

Joe Pavelski Over 0.5 Points (-144)

If only Dallas had started its season on time, a guy like Joe Pavelski might be holding the lead for points in the NHL. Pavelski is up to seven points in just two games. After opening with four points in a 7-0 win over Nashville, he grabbed another three in the rematch with Nashville. He now has a total of four assists and three goals, so this guy can do it all. Especially with Dallas getting set to play Detroit, we expect another breakout performance. In this case, Pavelski is only going to need one point. The Red Wings’ defense is allowing about 3.3 goals per game, so there also looks to be ample opportunity for Pavelski to make an impact. Even at this price, Pavelski has shown no signs of slowing down, so backing his over point prop would be my play.
