Best player prop for Sunday's MLB slate: Kowar sinks Mariners
I know it’s Sunday and the NFL is king on Sundays. But hear me out. We can still drop a MLB player prop if we want. If you’ve never done it before, you should try it and you should try it today. The Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals are giving us the perfect opportunity at 2:10pm ET if we want it. I sure as hell do and I’m taking it.
Besides this article, you should definitely check out our experts’ picks on all of the MLB action today. It’s just a smart thing to do. Also, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action? Once lineups are announced for some of these games, there is a chance for opportunity to knock. You should be there to answer it.
Jackson Kowar over 3.5 strikeouts (-145)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
We should give a shout out to DraftKings and BetMGM for dropping a line on this guy. While FanDuel is sleeping on the MLB player prop front, the other 2 are wide awake. It doesn’t matter where we bet this one since both books have this line at 3.5 -145.
Jackson Kowar is my favorite kind of pitcher to bet. You really have no clue what’s going to happen when he takes the ball. He’s got an ERA at 11.50 in 18 innings of work this season, which is always fun. The thing is, he’s a strikeout guy. He’s started 3 games in September since coming back from the minors and in those starts he’s whiffed at least 6 guys twice. We only need 4 today.
He’s getting the Seattle Mariners today and while they don’t strike out the most in MLB, they definitely don’t strike out the least. They are right at 46 times in 196 at-bats, which is good enough for me. The kicker is the fact that they look pretty low-T at the plate over the last week, sporting a .610 OPS. We will need Kowar to stay in this game for a few innings but I think he gets home on this number.
This is my favorite MLB player prop of the day.
