Best player prop for Wednesday's MLB slate: Skubal to clip Angels' wings
Wednesdays are a day where you have to have an MLB player prop. It’s just a universal rule. Of all of the markets I picked through, I found one that I think is perfect. Number, price, player, opponent, etc. The books are tight these days but this one feels like a mistake. It could be the greatest bet we ever make. We’ll have to just let history decide that one.
On top of this article, you should definitely check out our experts’ picks on all of the MLB action today. It’s just a smart thing to do. Also, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action?
Tarik Skubal over 5.5 strikeouts (+105)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
You can take this one at DraftKings or BetMGM since they both have +105. FanDuel is pretty expensive at -112 so it’s up to you whether or not you want to pay that. I would but again, it’s up to you. It’s never fun to have a MLB player prop at -112 when you know you could have had the exact same bet at +105 somewhere else.
Skubal is quietly having a good season. He’s pretty much a strikeout guy that’s not being priced as one because he’s inconsistent. He’s had an 11-whiff game this season to go along with a handful of 9 and 8-strikeout games. What I’m trying to say is he can dial it up if given the chance. He comes into tonight in good form after striking out 6 Baltimore Orioles last time out.
The Tigers get the Los Angeles Angels tonight and they have been striking out a lot lately. In fact, only 2 teams have struck out more in the last week. Over their last 199 at-bats, the Angels have managed to whiff 63 times. That’s terrible. Between Jo Adell, Max Stassi, Jared Walsh and Justin Upton, there are plenty of potential victims for Skubal.
This is my favorite way to attack the MLB player prop market Wednesday.
