Diane Knox Balas loves golf (she’s Scottish, so of course she does) but let’s just say she’s much better at analyzing golf than playing! The same cannot be said for her brother, Russell Knox, who’s a 2-time winner on the PGA Tour and fueled Diane’s initial passion for the sport. A seasoned TV and radio host, Diane has given out 8 outright winners since joining the Pickswise team in April 2022. Her general rule is she has to have three stand-out reasons for each pick and spends her time studying stats, playing form and little nuggets of information from golfers’ lives on Tour. Diane lives in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband Garrett, son Greyson and two English Bulldogs Bowser & Barkley. You can follow her antics on Twitter @KnoxyDiane and Instagram @dianeknoxbalas. Welcome to the US Open! What a weekend it was at the RBC Canadian Open, especially because I was able to cash my +7500 pick of Nick Taylor in dramatic fashion. Now, we’re onto the Los Angeles Country Club, and it’s time to dive into the prop market to find some value. I have identified a few prop bets that I like for the upcoming tournament that range from top-20 finishers to the top LIV golfer, so there are plenty of things to be cheering for come June 15.

Also be sure to check out my preview and best outright bets for the US Open!

Knox’s Knockout US Open Prop Bets

Top Englishman – Tommy Fleetwood (+350 at PointsBet)

Will there be scar tissue from his playoff loss last week in Canada? I don’t think so, although he did come oh-so-close to his first win on the PGA Tour (isn’t that crazy?!) and a poor 72nd hole in regulation really was the undoing of his week. Fleetwood’s game has been trending for a while, he’s putting great and he sits at 6th on the Tour in approach. He’s had a runner-up and a 4th place finish in the U.S. Open before, and what a story it would be if he got himself into contention again this week.

Top-20 finish – Ryan Fox (+425 at PointsBet)

It’s been quite the year for Ryan Fox, who gained full PGA Tour status and has seven top-30 finishes in his eight starts. His putting has been solid, as well as his approach, combined with the fact he’s a big guy who can really move the ball.

Top LIV golfer – Bryson DeChambeau (+550 at Bet365)

I have picked Cam Smith as an outright this week, but I’ll also take Bryson, the 2020 U.S. Open champion, to finish as the top LIV golfer at this price. He finished 4th at the PGA Championship and his game looked sharp, and has finished within the top-10 in his last two LIV starts. Just got to hope Brooks doesn’t rain on his parade!

Top Canadian – MacKenzie Hughes (+700 at FanDuel)

After the excitement of last week, and the high standard of play from the Canadians, I want to pick one to continue the trend this week. Having (hopefully) got over the disappointment of missing the cut in his home open, MacKenzie Hughes must be raring to go in a Major he has performed well in before, finishing T15 in 2021 and T24 last year.

Bet365 – the world’s #1 sportsbook – has arrived in the United States! If you sign up right now and bet just $1, you can immediately get $200 in bonus bets! Join Bet365 by clicking this link.
