The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup kicks off tonight at 8:00 PM ET, but we have a full slate of games to choose from tomorrow. The day starts with Bayern Munich vs Auckland City at noon ET, followed by Paris St-Germain vs Atlético Madrid at 3:00 PM, Palmeiras vs Porto at 6:00 PM ET and Botafogo RJ vs Seattle Sounders at 10:00 PM. Three European juggernauts play at the start of the day, which is why I’m previewing the first two games.
With teams like Bayern Munich and PSG taking the field, expect high-stakes action and potential upsets as the tournament kicks off in full swing. Let’s dive into it.

Bayern Munich vs Auckland City best bets

Bayern Munich and Auckland City kick off Sunday’s slate, as the German Champions take on the best-performing Champions League winner from Oceania. Bayern is -5000 on the 3-way money line, and there’s only one game this match will go. The Germans won their final game of the Bundesliga 4-0, going 4-1-0 in their final 5 domestic matches, outscoring their opponents 16-3. They held their opponents scoreless in 4 of those games, and I anticipate more of the same tomorrow.
The New Zealand side is in the middle of their domestic league, and they won their most recent game in the New Zealand Cup 4-0. However, that game was against Onehunga Mangere United, who aren’t exactly equal to the caliber of Bayern. Auckland City hasn’t won a Club World Cup game since beating Cruz Azul on penalties in 2014, and they’ve dropped 4 straight CWC matches since that win. Expect the Germans to win in dominant fashion.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Atlético Madrid predictions

The second game on Sunday is the game of the day, as Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain takes on Atlético Madrid. The Spanish side finished third in La Liga, which it has done 4 times in the last 6 years. However, Diego Simeone has played well down the stretch, going 6-2-2 in their final 10 La Liga contests. In addition to domestic success, they qualified for the UCL Round of 16 before falling to Real Madrid on penalty kicks 4-2. Although they haven’t won a trophy since 2020, Atlético always has the potential to pull off an upset.
Unlike Atlético, PSG won Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season, so collecting another trophy would cap off a perfect year for the French side. Although they wrapped up Ligue 1 at the start of April, they still went 8-1-3 in their final 12 matches in all competitions.
Manager Luis Enrique’s side has been a scoring machine; it has scored 2.2 goals per game in its last 10 games and 3.4 goals per contest over its latest 5 contests. PSG has scored at least once in 18 straight games, so I expect it to find the back of the net at least once. On the flip side, Atlético has scored at least once in 21 of its last 25 matches.
