We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Friday, including picks from the MLB, Premier Lacrosse League, and NFL preseason games. One pick is taken from each sport with a second pick from the MLB. A winning ticket would give us a nice payout with odds of +879 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of these plays.

NFL Preseason: Detroit Lions ML (-140) over Atlanta Falcons, 6:00 pm ET

Both of these teams were hopeless in the preseason last year, each going 0-3. However, Detroit lost by fewer than 6 points per game on average whereas Atlanta lost by more than 16 per outing. The Falcons have traditionally been terrible in the preseason (1-15 in their last 16 contests dating back to 2017) and there is a good chance such futility continues at least through this opener. I would lean toward the Lions anyway, but the way they have looked at training camp in recent days has me even more encouraged. For that reason, go with Detroit to win and don’t bother taking the points.

MLB: New York Yankees ML (-120) over Boston Red Sox, 7:10 pm ET

The Yankees are coming into this game having had Thursday off, while the Red Sox played a standalone game against the Orioles. That’s some much-needed rest for New York as they try to reset and once again become the most dominant team in the league.

Boston hasn’t even been able to rely on guys they were counting on such as Nathan Eovaldi or Nick Pivetta. It’ll be Eovaldi on the mound for this game, who is coming off of a loss to the lowly Royals. With the Yankees already leading the season series, they can get back on track against a struggling Red Sox team.

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (-150) over Kansas City Royals, 8:10 pm ET

The Dodgers are coming into this series after a rest day, having won 10 straight, and with a 17-3 record since the all-star break. They have the best record in baseball at 77-33, and are even starting to separate themselves from the Yankees and Astros. After silencing the hype of Juan Soto and the new super-team Padres, they should have no issue also doing so against a depleted Royals team.

They will be starting Tony Gonsolin, who has a far superior ERA (2.30) to that of Kansas City starter, Daniel Lynch (4.79). Simply put, there is too much of a talent gap between these teams for anything other than a dominant Dodgers win which is why backing the Dodgers on the run line will be the play.

Premier Lacrosse League: Redwoods vs Waterdogs – Under 24.5 goals (-115), 10:30 pm ET

The Redwoods rank 2nd to last in offense, which certainly doesn’t help them hit any overs. Meanwhile the Waterdogs rank 2nd in offense but if you look at their season average, they’re producing 13.25 points per game compared to the Redwoods’ 11. That means if both teams play like they normally would, they’d hit 24.25 points. That and the fact that both teams are tied for the league lead in caused turnovers makes the under worth backing tonight.
