College Basketball pick today: Indiana Hoosiers vs Xavier Musketeers – Over 144.5 points (-105), 6:00 pm ET

The Indiana Hoosiers will travel to Cincinnati on Friday to play a non-conference game against the Xavier Musketeers. It should be an exciting game because both teams have played at a fast pace this season. According to KenPom, Indiana is 22nd in average possession length and 3rd in both offensive effective field-goal percentage and 2-point field-goal percentage.

Likewise, Xavier is 28th in average offensive possession length and in the top 15 in effective field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage. These teams have excelled on the offensive end to start the season and it should continue in this game with the Xavier fans packed into the Cintas Center. The total seems too low; therefore backing the over will be the play.

NBA pick today: Milwaukee Bucks +1.5 over Philadelphia 76ers (-105), 7:30 pm ET

The Philadelphia 76ers (7-7) welcome the visiting Milwaukee Bucks (11-3) for the second time this season — the first time was on October 20 in a rock fight that ended in a 90-88 Milwaukee victory. The 76ers have seemingly returned to form and rattled off back-to-back wins. They haven’t played since Sunday, which has allowed Joel Embiid to get some well-deserved rest after a monster performance in their win over the Jazz.

Tonight’s game will be a much tougher test with Giannis Antetokoumpo on the opposite side. These teams match up relatively even, but the Bucks have the slight edge with Jrue Holiday out on the floor. He adds an extra scoring option for the Bucks without Kris Middleton in action and is a lockdown defender, making an already solid defensive team that much stronger. This should be a competitive game throughout, but if anyone’s going to slow down Embiid and the Sixers, it should be the Bucks.

NBA pick today: Boston Celtics -2.5 over New Orleans Pelicans (-115), 8:30 pm ET

The Celtics had no trouble with Atlanta on Wednesday night, pushing their winning streak to 8 games. With Jayson Tatum leading the way, they are the top scoring team in the league right now. They are flashing some depth too with guard Malcolm Brogdon missing the last 4 games and reigning DPOY Marcus Smart missing the win against the Hawks.

Both of these teams are in good form but it is hard to get in the way of Boston right now. Just like at Atlanta they are being asked to cover a small number too. They might look a little small size-wise against New Orleans but their ability to score just puts so much pressure on their opponents. Even though they are not as good defensively as they were a year ago, their top offense makes them worth a play tonight.

College Football pick today: San Diego State Aztecs vs New Mexico Lobos – Under 36 points (-110), 9:45 pm ET

This is a low total, but it’s on par with what these teams have been seeing all season. San Diego State has hit the under in 6 of their last 9 games. The total has gone under in 6 of New Mexico’s last 8 games against San Diego State.

New Mexico struggles to put points on the board, and San Diego State is known for keeping your team off the field and suffocating the opponent’s offense. New Mexico might remain scoreless this entire game. San Diego State only averages 21.9 points and they are going up against a New Mexico defense that is also only allowing 21.9 points per game. This game has a low total, but backing the under still looks to be the best option.
