We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Friday, including picks from MLB, college football and NHL. One pick is taken from each sport with a second pick from the NHL. A winning ticket would give us a very nice payout with odds of +953 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

NHL pick today: Detroit Red Wings ML over Montreal Canadiens (-165), 7:05 pm ET

The Canadiens and Red Wings were among the worst teams in the Eastern Conference last season, but there is plenty of reason for fans to be optimistic. Detroit made plenty of noise in the offseason and coupled with the young talent they already had, they should show out for their season opener. Because of the core of Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi, the Red Wings are set to have a much better season. For that reason, backing the Red Wings tonight will be the play.

College Football pick today: Florida International Panthers +33.5 over UTSA Roadrunners (-110), 8:00 pm ET

UTSA is probably the best team in Conference USA and coming off a win against Western Kentucky, which is maybe the second-best team in the conference. The Roadrunners do, however, give up points, and that has prevented them from beating anybody by a ton.

Florida International has some useful weapons, especially at wide receiver. And while the Panthers are almost entirely rebuilding their roster this season under new head coach Mike MacIntyre, they are more likely to put up a fight in front of the home crowd. The Panthers are unlikely to win this game, but playing at home against a team that doesn’t tend to blow opponents out makes backing them against the spread worth a play.

MLB pick today: Los Angeles Dodgers ML over San Diego Padres (-125), 8:37 pm ET

The Padres evened the series with a Game 2 win on Wednesday night as the NLDS heads to San Diego for Game 3. The Padres will start Blake Snell, who ended the regular season on a tear, but that did not translate into the postseason. In his Wild Card start against the Mets, Snell was rocked for 2 runs and 4 hits in 3.1 innings. The worst part of his night was allowing 6 walks which drove up his pitch count and showcased his inability to command the zone.

Tony Gonsolin will make the start for the Dodgers. The all-star had a remarkable regular season as he finished with an ERA of 2.14 in 24 starts. He also had an ERA of 0.71 and held the San Diego hitters to a .156 batting average in 12 innings in the regular season, so I see him as the better pitcher in this matchup, considering Snell’s recent performance. For that reason, backing the Dodgers will be the play.

NHL pick today: Carolina Hurricanes vs San Jose Sharks – Under 6 (-110), 10:30 pm ET

The Sharks offense ranks 13th out of 18 qualifying teams in expected goals and has scored only 3 goals in 2 games. Last season, they finished 27th in expected goals and 30th in goals scored. Those numbers don’t show confidence they can score numerous goals on a top-5 goalie in Frederik Andersen, who is playing on a team that finished 1st in goals allowed last season.

The Hurricanes have the talent to score freely, as they showed on Wednesday. However, San Jose goalie James Reimer has shown he can slow down his former team. In the 2 games Reimer played against Hurricanes last season, he allowed only 3 goals. For that reason, look for a lower-scoring game and take the under.
